I'm looking for some feedback on the websites I have displayed in my portfolio. The links are below. Please feel free to pick and choose - I'm just putting them all here as I've only really had feedback from family members until now and should probably get unbiased opinions The following are example websites, as I haven't had much work to show yet, so there's no real content on them: electrician.lucygreenwood.net florist.lucygreenwood.net This one is an actual blog my husband plans on using... at some point. So it is also currently devoid of content. There are changes already planned, as it was made some time ago, but feedback would still be appreciated: foodraid.co.uk…

OK final one for now. I used to spend ages deciding what fruits to choose on my weekly shop so I've made myself a random fruit generator tool to save myself some time. Would anyone kindly be able to give me some feedback - good or bad? http://randomfruit.co.uk/# I am aware of one issue which is a wonky flexbox display when 5 or 8 fruits are chosen. Thanks James

Hi All, Just looking for some help on hover effects on my site. I'm not a web developer yet as this is a university project but I'm learning. http://www.louise-carter.com/services/hair/ Which design do you prefer the "cut & colour" images with the button overlay or the other two images which were designed in photoshop but hovers added with CSS. I originally preferred the cut & colour button as I felt this could potentially get me more marks than just a PSD but user feedback so far has suggested preference of the PSD's Thanks in advance! Sam

This is the second website that I think I have finished. I am a bit more mentally prepared for criticism this time! The website is quite a bit more simple than the one I posted yesterday - it is to promote a local house/techno night that myself and a friend run. The only issue I can see is that the menu doesn't close when clicking a link on mobile. Any feedback would be greatly welcomed. http://www.darkmatterartists.com/events/ Thanks James

Hello I hope you are all well. I'm pretty frustrated trying to finish the last bits off on some websites so I have a portfolio of websites ready when I go to a tech jobs fair in Shoreditch next weekend. Oh yeah then I need to make a portfolio. Hmmmm. So I'm going to ask for feedback on one or two websites if you don't mind. This is the first one that I have completed - http://ineedaweatherforecast.co.uk/ I am aware of two problems - one my responsive menu doesn't close when clicking a link on mobile - only when clicking the burger menu again, the other being that paypal doesn't send me the form data upon payment. If anyone can give me any feedback g…

We've (finally) finished the overhaul of our website to make it all responsive and to showcase the responsive content skills of the new versions of our software. I'd welcome any feedback, specifically on the pages showcasing the responsive content examples as they are mostly our existing examples just set to be resizable (except the interactive video stuff). http://www.digitalworkshop.com/showcase/showcase-publications.shtml http://www.digitalworkshop.com/products/info/animation.shtml We haven't yet done any which switch content but it's probably only the quizzes which would need it because of the amount of text in them. I have made a website in the last day or so. http://www.shivampaw.ml It is a one page website and I have tried to make it mobile and tablet friendly. I've previously used frameworks such as bootstrap but this is the first site I've coded from scratch so I was wandering if anyone has some feedback and ways for me to improve. Mainly talking about the design because the content is just yeah.. Thanks!

Alright, time to put myself on the podium. Currently, I consider myself a designer, with some front end coding skills. I can't call myself a "front end developer" since I don't work much with JavaScript. However, I do make my WordPress themes from scratch. Here it is: http://heylouise.space This website is aimed at employers who may be looking at hiring. I'm not open to freelance, but will consider it if I get enough interest. Thanks in advance.

Hi Reviewers! We have updated our website a lot over the years with changes such as reducing the amount of hosting plans to choose from making it easier to pick a plan, making website mobile friendly, setting up server status page ( https://www.hostxnow.com/status ) , forcing SSL for all pages for extra security and to gain more trust, and basically just making it easier to find information. Please take a look and let us know if you think there are any further changes which we could make to help gain new customers and make it easier for existing customers to use our website http://www.hostxnow.com Do you think us adding SSL Certificates and cPanel Manageme…

I've recently released a new blog on my site to help to promote one of my Software products. I've used this as an exercise in dogfooding in dev speak, exclusively using the software to create the graphics on the site. Can you please give me some honest feedback on the site? https://www.3d-box-shot.com/cover-design I've still got a lot of content to add across the site, but I'd welcome any feedback on the content as well. Any suggestions for changes and improvements would be most appreciated.

Hello I have recently made a website with Drupal for the first time ever. I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice/criticism? http://ubereadoolische.com/drupal3/ The only reason I used Drupal is because I wanted to learn it - this is a personal project. So the HTML is all as per the theme - quite a chunk of the CSS I have over-written myself. I know the pink is quite bright - I struggled to find a colour that would work. I've probably spent more time on the colour than anything else!! Any advice appreciated. James

Hi Everyone, I've recently been learning Meteor JS, which is you haven't tried it, is an awesome javascript framework. However, I've been thinking into a few app ideas that I can build for both Android and IOS. My idea is that users can upload/take a picture or video and the location will either be picked up automatically, if not they can enter it manually. This will then get added to a world map showing where people have took pictures, which other members can view. It will also get added to the latest posts timeline so people don't have to use the app. Members can then follow other members like Instagram works and see a timeline of that members photos/vid…

Hi all, I've been working on a scrollable table plugin. It takes your table and adds a vertical scrollbar to a specified height. There's a simple demo here: http://demos.lyndseyb.co.uk/tablescroll/. The full source code can be found on my GitHub: https://github.com/lyndseybrowning/js-table-scroller. I'd like to know if I've used a good approach in terms of the JavaScript or if I've overcomplicated the code. Similarly, have I unnecessarily bloated the outputted HTML and could it be simplified? All feedback and suggestions welcome. Thanks to @@rbrtsmith for some good advice, as always.

My website is GoodOrNah.com, its an online database of everything that's good or not in the world. I became very fond of the Gawker/Gizmodo type layout featuring minimalism and white space. I feel like i'm on the right track however I feel like their site's look more professional. You can tell there is a team of people working and writing on it. Truly, a company. What would your advice be to make it look more professional whilst still staying true to my design layout? I appreciate any responses, Thank you and have a nice day!

Hello all, Me and my brother have used squarespace and designed this webpage. www.homedecorhull.com It needs a lot of work and is only around 8 weeks old. We both work full time so this is an ongoing project. The website will be uploaded with a lot more products over time. Any constructive criticism will be taken seriously. A lot of our work has been focused on SEO and getting the website picked up and visited. A lot of tagging and a lot of work on Google to get the business approved and on google maps etc (quite hard work for a starter) We are looking to add the following to the website Links to policies in the footers Link to the secure payment m…

I've had my site reviewed, ripped and apart and destroyed in many places but I've taken it on the chin and worked through the observations. Some things I haven't changed where it conflicts with the huge amount of user testing I've done. But you may have different opinion. Here it is: https://aerin.co.uk/ No bling, no distractions, no Social Media. It's content that Google and visitors to the site like. It's the reason they landed on it in the first place - because the wanted help and advice.

I have been selling pocket watches as a side business for about 12 months. They are primarily aimed at the wedding market to be given to best man, ushers, fathers. I mainly use Facebook to promote on local wedding facebook groups and have sold an amount of watches which has far exceeded my initial expectations. I have recently created a Shopify website using a paid-for theme which can be seen here: www.watchesforweddings.com I would really appreciate feedback on how I can continue to improve the website and any suggestions on expansion etc. Thanks in advance!

Afternoon all, We've spent some time trying to get a print store ready, so that we can streamline our quotation process. One thing we need is consistency within our pricing and I get a feeling having something like this will be much easier! Anyway, it's an opencart system, skinned, to do what we want it to do. We are still having a few meeting problems, with the options and selection process BUT thoughts would be welcome http://www.cherry-designs.net/printshop

Hello fellow Web Designers! I hope this post finds you all well. If possible, I wanted to ask for some feedback on a custom Wordpress design we produced for one of our luxury boutique hotel clients. The client (and website) in question is Kivotos Mykonos Hotel | Mykonos Luxury Boutique Hotel. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this custom design (it's fully responsive too), and particularly how it ties in with the hotel's status and brand identity. Thank you in advance for your time, your feedback is most welcome. Cheers!

Hello My Fellow Web Designers! Your feedback has been so helpful in the past, I'd like to ask for your thoughts on another of our custom Wordpress theme designs for our clients. The website in question is here: Mykonos Panormos Villas | Sea view, luxury villas. As you can gather, the villas are at the luxury end of the scale. I'd love to know if you think this custom responsive design fits with the brand identity of the property. Thank you so much in advance for your time, I look forward to your feedback! Cheers!

Hi This is a site created for a client in the US, the client provided all the amazing photos and we wanted to make sure that the site reflected the look. We wanted to keep the site simple and allow the amazing jewelry to stand out, hence we have limited the content. Each collection has it's own colour so that it is obvious which item belongs to which collection (once you do a bit of browsing of course) http://www.elementasjewelry.com/ All comments and suggestions are welcome. There's a new, cool website called: http://themoment.tv It allows you to view and make remixes of videos, streams, eSports events, gaming talk shows, etc. from YouTube and Twitch. It's perfect if you have a lot of video content and want to make a compilation/montage and then send it to your friends, family, or co-workers. Everything will be in one easy place, and the viewers control when they move onto the next moment/highlight with a click of the mouse. Instead of downloading or uploading clips from your computer into video editing softwares, TheMoment makes it simple with its Google Chrome plug-in, so all you have to do is watch your video, tag the moments, …

We created a site for a client who wanted something different from the typical sites of their industry and we came up with the idea of using slanted panels, we could have done the site in wordpress but wanted to have full freedom in design so went for adobe muse, the site's pretty large and is in 4 different languages plus each language has ecommerce as well. Please check it out http://www.mainsailglobal.com/

OK, this is VERY early days! Site is on WordPress and is very heavy with plugins, more than I would like to use but.... Would love to hear your thoughts, particularly on the speed of the site - is it too slow? I can't always tell as I live in the country and my connection speed can be a bit haphazard, so not sure if it's me or the site!! Also, drop down sub menu - I'm still trying to get the background white, although not succeeding so far! http://fuerteventuranow.com/ Cheers

Hi all! Been working on a spare time project for quite some time now. It's still work in process, and the site will most likely be looking a bit different within the next weeks, because of the design we plan to implement (and the functionality we haven't yet implemented). The concept: A place where you can rent out your things, or rent things you need from people nearby. Our goal: To make renting things as easy as possible. Make it as easy as possible to discover things to rent. Have a look, and let us know your thoughts! Any type of feedback is considered useful. Thanks in advance!

Hey, would love to have some criticism on this kind of 'test' website I made! mattsmith_trident.a3.wrvc.co.uk Note that the Contact Us page isn't implemented yet. Some concerns I have already.. 1) If you open the menu it doesn't animate in time with the button and lags behind. How would I calculate the time the menu aligns with the side of the button? 2) In IE 11 the plus button at the top left breaks and the social buttons don't stay inside the menu. Thanks a lot!

Hiya guys, Im looking for a review on the design of my website but also on the readability of the articles that it contains, it is not yet live and only has one article at the moment however will have more in the future. As I mentioned it will go on product hunt so I want to make sure the design is perfect when it does.. I used to have a sidebar next to the article but I felt that it distracted from the actual article however would increase user retention rates, what do you guys think? The article is here or http://inspirizone.c...cold-heartless/ Thanks in advance, Alex

Hi all, I'm currently working on a small JavaScript based game, called Blocks. It's in its early stages at the moment, but you can play it here: http://blocks.lyndseyb.co.uk I'm more a developer than a designer, but I've attempted the design work myself on this. So I'm looking for some feedback and advice, both on the overall look and feel and the experience, if possible. Be as harsh as you like! Thanks

Hey Guys, I've been working on a website over the past couple of months in my spare time that is aimed at designers and is meant to provide a laugh or two. I'm getting close to the completion of the project and plan to release it toward the end of this week/or early next. Hello fellow Web Designers, I must apologise again for the delay since my last posting. It's been a really busy summer for me and my company, and, as you all know, life likes to throw lots of things at you at once too! Anyway, I've returned, and I'd like to ask for your feedback. A big portion of our clients are hotels, and we've been producing lots of designs recently based around our in-house wordpress theme for these clients. A good example of this theme in 'action' (which I'm particularly pleased with) can be seen with Hippie Chic Hotel Mykonos | Luxury Beach Hotel Mykonos We serve corporate clients too though, and we've modified this theme a little as their nee…
