Hey, would love to have some criticism on this kind of 'test' website I made!

mattsmith_trident.a3.wrvc.co.uk

Note that the Contact Us page isn't implemented yet.

Some concerns I have already..

1) If you open the menu it doesn't animate in time with the button and lags behind. How would I calculate the time the menu aligns with the side of the button?

2) In IE 11 the plus button at the top left breaks and the social buttons don't stay inside the menu.

Thanks a lot! :)

Matt is asking for criticism of his site, he's not looking for a web designer from India?!

@[member=MJSBLUES], great start I noticed a couple of little bits, first one the Google plus image looks to be missing, secondly I'm not overly keen on the menu button it kinda just sits out and with the rounded corners it looks a little out of place?

The Opacity of the contact form is a little low which is a little distracting.

The navigation buttons are a little big as well.

I'm also getting several errors in the console (Chrome) for missing files?

These are my personal opinions, but overall it's a great start.

Haha no idea what that guy's talking about, oh well :p I'm also not too keen on the menu system either.. I'm gonna look for some better inspiration and implement that. I was at first going to only use that for a mobile device but in the end I kept it anyway. I'll change the opacity on focus @@dap, that's a great idea thanks! I had no errors in an offline version and the google plus icon was fine then but i'm going to change the to svg files anyway.

Thank you for the feedback I really appreciate it :)

Matt, I agree with what the others have said.

Regarding menu systems I've never been fond of mobile style collapsable navs on larger screens. Set a breakpoint just above where the nav items begin to break and then below that display them in mobile form.

You can check out some of the sites I do for inspiration, most of them use the same base navigation system I created, pf course all are styled differently, but how it's all working underneath remains much the same :)
