To increase site rank you have to follow the Google guidelines. Try to get the natural links from trusted and authoritative sites. Try to solve the issues like website design, provide proper title and description, unique content, and to increase Alexa rank install Alexa toolbar and open site on regular basis. Alexa toolbar help you a lot in maintaining better Alexa rank.

Still you have any issues then you can consult a consultant. Like I lawalys recommend ably soft expert for my queries.

Yes, hummingbird algorithm is updated .So,the traffic and ranking is increasing or decreasing due to this.

PageRank doesn't change very often. Infact, it hasn't changed since the beginning of the year. Alexa Rank? I've never, ever, in my entire life, used Alexa rank to determine how well a web site is.

If you want to increase a page rank of your site than try to get more and more do-follow links for your site.

Ranking its not so easy to get rank. You have to alot of quality work. You should continue with your work, definitely it will be up. If talk about last month, Google have updated Humming bird, Penguine 1.0 due to which maximum of sites suffered like lost traffic, keywords ranking,etc. This may be the reason for your site too.

I think if page rank is not moving (which is hard to do) then you have to look at the site and why it is not relevant to the audience.

Yes, increasing the page rank does not mean anything... its up to Google what PR to give and the max you can do for a normal type of website is 3-4. Ok, you will have 4 and then what?

To increase alexa rank, you need to do SMO(Social Media Optimazartion) on linkedin, facebook, twitter, pinterest and google+,etc sites. If you want to get PR of your website then you can do off page quality work and also build strong back link.

Forget pagerank its not important, you should be concentrating on content, not pagerank.

 

Build websites for people not search engines, improve the content and everything else will fall into place, including pagerank.

Fuzzy, nice idea but it sometimes just doesn't work like that. Explain, how would I rank for "online carpets" with just great content? You can't and I didn't get a website ranking by doing that. I did it by understanding how SEs work and pushing content onto high authority websites and building an authority website.

No, its never just content, you need a good page title, file names, meta tags, links etc, but the op was talking as if a little obsessive with page rank and great content is the first thing that should be looked at because if anything is going to work the fastest, its that because it does not rely on re-indexing and waiting to see results, you will see results through visits and that in turn pushes pagerank

Google not updated Page Rank algorithm till last 8 Months. So, your page rank was not updated.

IF you doing proper seo than your alexa rank definitely increase because alexa updated in every week.

The PR of a site not increase immediately. Google consider different things like; no of back links, site authority etc to increase the PR of a site. And remember in a year max 3 time the PR of a website changed. It's totally depend on Google. In this year PR change algorithm is not updated yet so the PR of the sites as remain as before.

You can increase your PR by making high quality backlinks. If you are guest posting on high PR blogs that will help you to increase PR but I will suggest that not make guest blogging as your only link building strategy. Do other things also that come under SEO off page. I don't think Alexa rank provide real data about a website. They are just numbers and nobody knows how accurate they are. Personally, I don't care about Alexa rank but I do care about its PR , DA and PA. So first make sure all the on page of your website is done properly and than focus on making some good quality backlinks for your site.

To get high Alexa rank you smilply have to get the traffic, more traffic you have more high ranking you will get in alex.

So its is not important to see alexa rank. You can increse your alexa rank by simply using exchange sites which is not effective way.

I could be entirely wrong but is alexa the one where you need a toolbar installed in order for it to register your visit to that website? Maybe I am thinking of another.

To be honest I wouldn't focus on the organic listings too much. Take them more as a snap shot.

The better measure would be to look at:

• The number of visitors - new and returning
• The bounce rate
• The length of time vistitors spend on the site/pages
• Conversion goals (e.g. email sign ups/number of sales etc..)
