I just wanted to say I have a paid subscription to Built For Mars and I love it. I always find bits I can use to add to my work so I'm glad it got a mention on here! Figma have a free plan, so it would be worth adding them to the list for web design.

I've been working on a client control panel which involves a lot of data relating to customer reports. The majority (80%) of their users are desktop-based, so this was the priority for my client. The challenge I faced was displaying as much of this data as possible, on smaller devices. After discussing this obstacle with the client, I went down the path of allowing side scroll on smaller devices, for these tables. My justification was based on analytical data, showing mobile users are existing customers, most likely making changes on the go. Therefore, these users would know their way about the control panel and want to see the level of data that's visible on desktop. What format do you use for data tables in mobile UI, and why?

Hi Jack, This is a strong portfolio. I love the layout and the mouse-over effects you've used. Additionally, the photographs you've included in the personal section are amazing - I'm a photographer myself so I really appreciate the quality of these shots. What equipment do you currently use? One suggestion I have, and this really depends on what you want out of the site, is to have some sort of contact option available. If you want people to be able to get in touch straight from the site then this would be a nice addition to have, even at the very bottom of the page. You've got to think, if they arrive organically they might not already have your contact information. Although you have shared your social media links, having this as an option would be that additional security. Additionally, I think the introduction, `Expert in crafting engaging visual products` could be styled better. It almost appears as a section header rather than you selling yourself. Be bolder, be bigger. Keep up the great work.

From my experience, using the PS generative fill tool is okay for small areas of artwork. But it's not a tool to generate entire pages or very large sections of an image. I've removed somebody from a photo in a corridor and it generated a very believable door in their place 😆 But like your example with the hair style, that's about as good as I've managed to get it so far.

I was looking at attending the webdevconf.com this year, but it would be the first time attending in-person since before COVID. Have you been to any of their events?

Hi @Naheed Mir or @NaheedMir It's been a while since this was posted but in case you're still active, I'd like to give a few pointers: Remove the large advert banner altogether, or replace with a much thinner one so the user can see the categories below. If you decide to keep the advert, experiment with a coded element instead of an image. This feels more trustworthy and will increase the likelihood of somebody clicking it as the button will actually be a button, rather than an image of a button. Add an underline to text in the top navigation dropdown, when you hover over it The 'View all' button, instead of having the arrow appear when you hover over, I would have this arrow permanently visible and just do a text underline on hover Be more consistent with the text size of titles for each section on the homepage Take care with the spacing between each section. Changing the text sizes as mentioned in the previous point will help a little bit, but I would increase the spacing between each section on the homepage I hope these points help!

Hi Akanksha, It's been a while since you posted this but in case you're still questioning this, here's my opinion. What do you want to get out of it, if you did a Masters degree? If it's a certification you can show to future employers, then I would say save the thousands of pounds and enroll in one of the popular online courses instead. These will give you great functional skills and in a shorter timeframe too. If you pair this knowledge with the endless library that is the internet and all of the great tutorials people put out on platforms such as YouTube for free, then you'll be in much better position than if you had gone to university. The problem with university, and this is just my experience, is that they tell you about things rather than sitting down and actually teaching you how to effectively use it, this isn't even taking into account how to use it in a real-world environment. For me this depends on the type of work I'm doing, similar to @Jogeta316. I'll definitely check out the NMS soundtrack! I'm a huge fan of the Fallout series, and I'm often listening to FO ambient sounds which are both super-relaxing, and, reminiscent of a time when I actually had time to sit down and play a game properly!
