AI is finding its way into almost every part of web design now from layout generators and no-code builders to image tools and even copywriting assistants. On one hand, these tools save a huge amount of time and make it easier to launch something quickly. On the other hand, I sometimes wonder if they risk making websites feel too similar, since many are based on the same templates, prompts, or algorithms.
While working on my own site 1click (yep the changes are not live now), I noticed that AI definitely helps speed up certain tasks, but I still rely on my own creative direction to make it stand out.
What do you think? Are AI tools in web design empowering designers to be more creative, or are they quietly limiting originality by pushing us toward the same patterns?
