Right, like i said in my intro thread.. i'm a complete new boy to web design, but its something that ive always been intrested in! I personally think i'd prefer the graphic side, more than coding in general, so i'd rather start with graphics, then maybe extend into coding later in life! Just a couple of questions to ask the pros! a) Best program to start with? Id prefer to specialise in logos i think. Is there any free blogging sites i could use, so when i have made some pieces, i have a little area of my work.

Hello friends, How can i get exact size pdf i currently need pdf of size 2x2" for business card i tried thisbut as i upload the jpg the pdf file still has space around it?

any thoughts one these? It's for a friend selling wall mounted bins/ashtrays with advertising space. I'm not great in choosing typography and know I need to find some better fonts to use

This is the 1st version i created for my portfolio website. Some people liked it. But i aint likin it dat much. As the main title of my company represents beast. For this design i mainly used Diavlo, kind of creative sleek font with touch of demonic. But now i want to transform the design into a grunged design. Overall layout blueprint will be the same but change it to grunged. So Diavlo wont really fit in there. So i am really confused about what font to use to showcase a more weary-teary demonic show or something along the lines. Hi I'm new to illustrator and am trying to create a text clipping mask using a jpg for the texture, however the text disappears when I do so....can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong? Many thanks

I've got a nice background image that I would like to extend across the whole width of my site: I've tried the normal "offset" trick in photoshop, but I just cannot blend it together to create a seamless join. Does anyone have any tips? I'm new to photoshop and would like to learn how to do this please I've even cropped off part of the right hand side of the image to try and make the blending easier, but once again my photoshop skills fail me This is what I am currently trying to blend... Hello! I've been trying to get the 2 pixel divide to look good on a white background but I'm having a bit of difficulty getting the colours to work so that it looks good. The main colour on the site I'm working on is :#8e6767 if that helps. It's for a horizontal divide by the way. Can anybody help? Thanks all!

Hi. For my website I have always been using colours from the chart I am attaching. But today I learned that the best practice is to use from the Web-Smart 4,096 colours (which includes 4096 colours). I searched around the web for these colours but all I could find was a colour wheel for example here: http://www.ficml.org/jemimap/style/color/wheel.html So can you please tell me if the chart I am attaching are the "web-smart" colours? Well I´m going to redesign mine site a bit and it has 4 color pattern. Darkgreen, a bit ligher darkgreen. Text = white Blue is just added for the logo. I have been trying for a while now to get to grips with graphic designing in photoshop - but the simple fact is that i am rubbish. Being that i am not artistic by nature, i struggle to even conceive an idea and furthermore just can not get to grips with photoshop. I am ok if i'm just doing simple things such as textured backgrounds or similar things for web pages. Morning all, I'm working on a composition of several cut out images, but they look incredibly static without any shadows. I've played around in Photoshop creating shadows, but it just doesn't seem to look right. I'm hoping a fresh set of eyes will be able to see where i'm going wrong. The image is attached. Okay, im having some trouble with Ps. I have one layer with drop sahdow at a 90°, and i want to apply an inner shadow, on another layer, but at an angle of 120°. BUT, Ps is keeping them at the same degree. So when i change one, both shadow angles change :/ Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks, Ash
