Looks good. I would get rid of the light blue box-shadow and blue border for .form-control:focus (definitely inherited from bootstrap css) .form-control:focus { border-color: #66afe9; box-shadow: 0 1px 1px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.075) inset, 0 0 8px rgba(102, 175, 233, 0.6); outline: 0 none; } ...or changed these colors to the more appropriate shades of red, say .form-control:focus { border-color: #900; box-shadow: 0 1px 1px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.075) inset, 0 0 8px rgba(172, 0, 0, 0.6); outline: 0 none; } or something like that.
