Hi Everyone, I have just started (literally, on first piece of work atm) freelancing, building sites for small, local companies in UK. I have previously worked at large digital agencies and start ups as a Front End Developer. I did a little design work whilst there, and have done in the past. I'm focussing on Wordpress as I've used it for over a decade (not really in previous roles, just for personal / family and friends stuff) and can't see myself offering anything else tbh. I love the design side of things, hence starting out on my own. I also love the idea of working for small, local, family run companies, which offer their own unique design challenge in their own …

Hi, My name is Ell and I'm a 'beginner' HTML website designer based in the North West of UK. I have designed a couple of websites now but all have been based from a HTML template so I'm keen to progress my skills so I don't have to rely on templates, etc, and so that I can design a website completely from scratch. I'm self taught so I'm almost certain I'm cutting corners (unintentionally). I have an IT background so I end up figuring things out in the end but it would be beneficial for me to learn correctly to ensure I'm doing things properly. I also want to learn more about SEO, so hopefully I should get involved in the forum. Thanks.
