Just don´t visit the 18+ stuff guys.

 

Anyway, I only got Firefox to chek mine website content if it´s all correct.

 

Why other browser if IE is equal good?

Firefox has lots of extra features and add ons, whilst Chrome is the fastest browser!

 

Although websites should be checked on all browsers, especially IE as it is used so much.

I'm using Firefox for ages.. Although Chrome is tempting,I'd stick with Firefox!!!

Your connection might also be the cause of the slow problem!

So do I. There comes a time I only used Chrome but it's got some problems when loading facebook. It crashed all the time I loaded facebook. I still wonder why so I turned to Firefox, a little bit slower but it works well.

Yes, Firefox is the best Web browser.

IE just isn't bad for 18+ sites... it is constantly lacking in web standards playing catchup. Plus the UI is horrid.

Internet Explorer is good for people who just browse websites and dont care about all the problems it imposes. n my opinion, if you use IE your not really a computer person, and only really go on well known sites. These sites will be IE compatible so IE wont notice a difference on top.

 

However as soon as you look beneath the surface of it, a web designer will happily a design and code a website which looks fine in all other browsers such as FF, Chrome etc. Then you load it up in IE and it just fails.

 

People do seperate stylesheets for IE, so I cant see how you are a proud user if your in to web design/coding.

Why other browser if IE is equal good?

 

If IE was equally as good, I guess there'd be no need to use another browser. It crashes a lot, and doesn't follow web standards. Microsoft is always trying to reinvent the web e.g. the .net framework and that includes IE. So IE lives in Microsft land whereas the other browsers live in web standards land (mostly).

I have a soft spot for opera actually - I think it's a good browser, but I rarely use it TBH. because I always have Firefox and IE open when doing web stuff.

Mostly firefox because of some of the useful addons and sometimes chrome.

though i have most of the major browsers i use firefox coz it has lots of tools n plugins for developers.

Firefox has too many great extensions to switch to anything else. Adblock Plus, Firebug, Web Developer Toolbar etc, plus loads of little ones.

 

Chrome or Opera would be my second choice...

Google have promoted it in the right way though so a lot of people don't know about the range of extensions and customisations available for it.

I agree! I use firefox when i'm developing sites but i use Chrome for general surfing as i find it's faster.

I use FF for day to day use, I used to use Chrome as the page rendering is amzing and so fast in comparison. But then I found out about the lack of master password to keep saved passwords secure. I do use LastPass but just the lack of thought by google made me stop using their browser.

On my Mac I'm using Safari and Chrome (sometimes), on Windows7 -> only Chrome.

Primarily use Firefox, though in general, we have far fewer problems with browsers like Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, etc, compared to IE. Unfortunately, it is what causes a lot of development problems, particularly with regards to standards support and consistency. IE9 is a very good step in the right direction, but considering the catch-up game Microsoft is having to play, they can't get it right completely in one bound. So, credit where credit is due, and I hope to see IE improve further in the future. Until then, Firefox will be my browser of choice.

I voted Firefox. Used it for at least 5 years now as my main browser and like how it can be customized. Just can't stand Opera for some reason, and Chrome is nice visually, but something I don't like about it.

 

IE is catching up, but sites look better in other browsers, in my view.

 

Thankfully, gone are the days of websites not working with Firefox and sites looking horrid in IE6 ( they still do, but it's not the main browser of choice anymore). Generally all browsers mentioned are very good in terms of the latest versions and that can only be good for web design.

Chrome for me. Love it's simplicity and there are plenty of extensions when you need something extra.

 

Had some trouble with FF in the past so used to use Opera but when Chrome came out, I switched and have used it since.

I just noticed, some´one made a poll without to notify me.

My experience:

 

I used to use firefox (when I was a windows user) but it gradually slowed down to the point of not being useable. I then switched to chrome. I wasn't impressed with there extensions.

 

I then got myself a shiny macbook pro and I dabbled with firefox, chrome and safari. To my delight, the problem with firefox slowing down on windows was not existant on mac. I've been with firefox from that day.

 

I have on my mac for testing:

 

Firefox - latest and previous version

Chrome - Latest

Safari - Latest

Opera - Latest

 

via VM and Windows - Internet Explorer - Latest & previous version

 

This setup works well for me and I rarely get cross browser problems. If i do get cross browser problems, it's because the client is running ie6. I tell them to take a running jump

I used to be a Firefox fan, but since CSS3 animations and transitions came out, I fell out with it. I've found Firefox "laggs" when handling CSS3 transitions and animations.

 

Opera and Chrome are my favorites, but I use Opera more frequently. As I'm studying Web Design Opera supports slightly more HTML5 elements than chrome (such as input type date)

Depends on your purpose. If you want to play around (facebook, games and stuff), Firefox might be the best choice because of the plugins they provide. However, if you are a developer, Chrome is a better browser. This is why: Unlike Firefox, Google develop programming, such as Dart, Go, etc. It is safe to assume that Chrome will get updates for new technology, quicker than firefox. Google lately has use a huge amount of WebGL, and other language attempting to substitute flash and of course, they want their browser to be able to display these technology. Google employees also have free access to any Google project because of their 20% free time system. Many, for sure, will play around with Chrome and this is a reason why Chrome is also innovative. Personally I choose Chrome, because plugins found in Firefox can also be found in Chrome.
