New servers and new website. Only thing that is the same is the domain name

First of all sorry if this is the wrong section I have recently started a whole a new website with a new host but kept the same name My previous website had google analytics installed. When I signed into it on google it says my website name. Is it linked to the domain name rather than the files? Just wanting to know if ile have to re-install it for the new site (same domain name) Thanks

Its a word press theme. I just uploaded my pics. The dimensions were pre-set. Ile have a look through the CSS but its been a long time since I did CSS at college :/ I did have a look in the documentation that comes with it but couldn't find anything to say about the size

Hello im having a problem finding out the correct dimensions/aspect ratio for the images on my site. If you go to www.allmarkphotography.co.uk and go to the galleries and click on the image there is a big space either side of the picture. You can get the image to fit but it cuts of the bottom of the image. Not very professional looking. Could anyone tell me how to workout what the correct aspect ratio/dimensions are? Thank You

Hello. Im looking for a new theme/design for my photography website. What websites are recommended for purchasing word press themes? Thank You.

Well ive downloaded the files using filezilla but apparently you should/need to download the databases too. If I go to the wordpress control panel where I was recommended a database backup plugin this is where I can't seem to get the bar to move along. Could be the plugin? Also 123-reg isn't very easy to find where to turn the auto-renew off. Ive done it for my mums domain but can't find where to do it for the hosting package? Like you say ile let it run out and keep and back up of the files then just take out a new package with someone else. EDIT: my website is mapped to my mums

Hello. I currently use 123-reg for my hosting (will change). There are 2 websites in a package. My photography one and my mums one but hers is not needed anymore. However it seems to be the primary website and mine is a sub because when I chose "manage hosting" it shows her website name and not mine (pretty sure mine is like a sub). How could I get rid of hers and keep mine? Probably best to let the package run out then transfer my website files only to a new host and just keep with 123-reg for domain names? Im trying to back my site up via wordpress control panel but the progress bar isn't moving along at all? Thanks

Thanks man. Just looked at the college I did my BTEC National in ICT at and the CCNA Cisco is split in to 4 semesters. £349 for 1,2 and 3. The fourth one is free for under 18's and over 24's but 19-23 its £339. Im 22

Hey I currently have a BTEC National in IT and 6 months experience working in a computer shop doing the repairs, running the place when the boss is out on call outs. The wage isn't great at all and ide like to build on this experience. Im looking and doing a night course for a few weeks to get a better understanding of maintaining and building networks. Ideally ide like some kind of advanced apprenticeship where I could work and learn about networking but they are very hard to find at the moment so ide like to do the night courses in order to build on my knowledge. Has anyone been in my situation and done the night courses and found them helpful? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. On Monday im going to a local college to see what they say. Its an apprenticeship open evening sort of even and im going to ask about advanced ones. If they say I can't do them then ile ask whats my next step.

Hello! Its been nearly two years now since I finished my BTEC National Diploma in IT. I was hoping to do a apprenticeship after the course but found out I couldn't as I had a level 3 qualification and the apprenticeships are only a level 2 so im classed as over qualified. Im thinking about doing a advanced apprenticeship but the only thing is I think there a level 3 and I have a level 3 qualification? Im finding with applying for jobs im either over qualified or I need to be a senior. Im aiming to be an IT technician. A microsoft certificate would be pretty cool Just wondering what everyone thinks too this and has anyone been here? Thanks

Can I host multiple sites in the same directory then and not have the extension if you get me? I dont want it like allmarkphotography.co.uk/allmarkphotographyfolder (that an example)

Ahh yes, I was told about re-seller hosting. I think this would be the better option. With using sub-folders would it mean my websites have "/sub-folder" at the end of the domain?

Need to do some research on changing hosts now. Is it just as simple as downloading my website files from my 123-reg/godaddy sites then re-upload the files to the new host?

I currently use godaddy and 123-reg and the loading times suck big time. I will look into TSOhost. Thanks

Hello. At the moment I have three websites on the go. Each website is around £4-5 a month. Are there any packages where you can have multiple websites on the same hosting and therefore get a small discount for having multiple sites? Im thinking when I have around 10 websites its going to cost a lot each month just for the hosting. Thanks

Hello. A few months ago I lost all my music from my itunes and all my playlists. I searched for music using itunes and it all got re-imported but no playlists. I did do a google search and it said you can cut and paste library files to desktop then go in to itunes and re-import then manually this way but that didn't work. I went on to create the playlists again and lost them again in another months time. Anyone else have similar probs and any ways to fix it? Thanks
