Is My Design Ok? or Not?

Featured Replies

I think it is a great design. I could see where you might think it could be too much orange, but I think that orange represents your company and I think it is cool that you are owning it. It makes your site stand out. So many sites use the same set of colors. This really makes your site stand out.

I was going to try to give a critique of some sort, but the more I look at your site, the more I like it. So maybe others can give you some critiques, but I really like it and think it should stay the way it is, Great job.

I have to agree, a stunning and identifiable design. It creates a corporate identity, has a great look and feel, breaks away from the crowd and yet is fashionable at the same time. Your site has some nice use of shadows and transitions, but they are not over worked, or 'in your face' like many other sites are.

Nice job, well done!

I like the website, nice design. The only "problem" I have is that I find the things on the site, too big. Not that it's something you should go and change immediately because the design it great! It's just by personal opinion.

If orange color is the main theme of your company then it's good. You have done it in a nice way by not using the same color all over the slider but giving it a gradient effect so that it becomes soothing for the eyes.

No I like the orange is fine. The only thing I'm not so keen on is the black outline text on your main banner area - it looks a bit comic book style. I would also say that the images could afford to be a bit more interesting. However apart from those bits everything else looks great.

The amount of orange is fine and I like the design. The only thing I would suggest is make the button in the bottom left and logo the same colour as the active nav and slider background. Not sure if it's just me but everything else matches and it looks odd having different shades of orange like that.

I really like the icons around the site, did you do them yourself or get them from somewhere?

I was actually trying to go for comic book style. The avatar for my site is a comic looking character (the round orange dude) so i wanted a little bit of the site to match.

Thank you for the feed back

I had the slider as full orange but it looked too bright so I added the gradient effect. Thanks for the feedback

Thank you, your optioncart.com site is also hard to critique

preload your nav icons - on hover there's a delay until they load ;)

otherwise looking good!

I have been looking for a solution to this but i cant figure it out. any suggestions?

Website very nice, I give you suggest some changes. code validation w3c and use clear banners. your website orange color so much dark so give different color or light color banner use.

I like your design, only slight critique is you need someone to proofread your website, I spotted quite a few spelling mistakes in the banner texts alone.

Really a great design created by you. Its totally attractive. Which is plus point for you.

I love the flat minimal look you have gone for, I feel this could be more consistent throughout.

Things that I have noticed, most of which are page load improvements

  • Put all the icons into an image sprite
  • Combine and minimise all the css into one file
  • Combine and defer parsing of js
  • I'm not sure about the tab in the upper right, I'm assuming this appears when loading?

The orange works, it would be worth trying a flat colour on the slider?

Thank you for the input i will go down the list when I can. Did you have trouble seeing the loading effect in the upper right?

It's really nice. The design is perfect but the loading speed is a little slow...

That is what I'm currently working on. I'm transferring to the Google Page Speed services in a little bit so i hope that will help.

Thanks for the input. The site is in the process of being translated to portuguese.

No problem. No trouble seeing it, I just find it unnecessary

I like it alot, loving the bright orange, it's not too much either. I'm glad someone beat me to it regarding the spelling mistakes though. :)

Hello,

Theres a few things I like but a few I dont so here we go:

Good Points:

.Clean flat UI pretty nice

.Layout

.loading icon in the top right

.lots of white space

.content

.font styles & colours

Bad Points:

.Patterns are abit out dated I think try looking at http://www.colourlovers.com/blog/2014/01/06/6-must-have-web-design-trends-of-2014 got a few inspirational images that are trending.

. the little monster mascott is abit cheesey I dont know whether to take it seriously or not I dont know thats just me with that one I think.

. the banner colour, I think the gradient is abit much for me if that was just a plain orange with nice typography and images it would look better I think.

. the images quality isnt all there I have this problem as well do you save for web and devices in photoshop when you use images for web it helped me out a lot more :)

. im not a fan of the quote part at the bottom it feels unprofessional to me. It would look ten times better if the background was plain white and the input boxes were styled instead that could look neater and ore professional.

I hope I am not being too harsh because in the end of the day I get told
web is always about learning and contructive critism will benefit you.

But overall its a good job!

No its not too orange. I love your website design. Loading time, simplicity and fonts all are good that I like the most.

You don't need to panic for your website new design or what more changes you need to do in your website.

Simply superb.....!!!!! :) :)
