Hello. I like your site, it is very clean and professional looking. I will say that some of the navigation feels off when I am moving around the site. When you click on the services and go to the separate pages, going back to the main menu does not feel right. I don't mind going to the welcome page when I first come to your site, but then to keep having to go back there, seems off. I think it would be better to go back to the services instead. Just a thought I wanted to pass on. Take care.

I recently had a couple of days off to build a site for my 10 year old son who's a budding magician - he is very creative and has loads of great ideas. I set him the task of thinking up anything he wanted in a website. He doesn't know about responsive layouts, or what is and isn't possible, he just let his creativity and imagination run riot.
 
Building the site reminded me that having built hundreds of websites, too much of my time is spent thinking about google and what they recommend for SEO, keywords, simple layouts etc etc. I know it's not possible to have such freedom all the time and this is certainly not suitable for 99% of clients, but it was good to see what an uninfluenced mind would come up with. I will be honest I am not sure if I am really feeling any of them. But that could be because I don't have a feel for the whole site. If I were to pick one of the list I would go with designr or designin. I think they would be the ones I would look at. Especially if you can incorporate "in" somehow elsewhere on your site. Like look "in" the tutorials or come on "in" and learn with us. Something like that, I don't really know, just writing the first thing that popped into my head.
 
You may want to consider looking for a name that doesn't describe exactly what your site is, but rather a name that will help people remember it. I know when we were looking for a name for the last site we created, I think it took us just as long to finally find the name that we liked (and was available) as it did to create the site.

Hi, I really like the look of your site. It is very professional looking. I also like that you chose to go with red. It is not something that you see as often and I think it really helps make the site standout. I think it is great and looks ready to go, if I were to give one critique (and I stress I have been debating with myself on this), the font you use for your company logo, doesn't seem to fit the name brighter, it feels "old world" or something, and when I think brighter, I think fun and hip. Just a thought. Not sure if it is something to even think about, but I always like to give everyone that first impression feel when I look at their page.

I really like the second one. The added "sea" to the bottom of the graphic really sells the tag line. I am torn on the rope, I think visually it looks really cool. but when I first looked at it, I thought it was some type of crown.

I agree with the poster above. The first screenshot is a really nice look, but for a store site the second is better to get the shopper right in to look at the items for sale. Since it is a screenshot, I am sure it is easier to read in the site, but the letter seem very light and I would just make sure that the light color will be easy to read on a smaller screen.

I really like your logo. The "o" really makes the design. My only question is if you have built a website around the logo yet? Stand alone it looks great, but I wasn't sure if the colors you are using would lend themselves to a whole site. The hard part is it's impossible to know without looking at the site, but just something I was thinking about while I was looking at the logo.

I agree, leave off the www. It feels more outdated.

I can see how important it is to give the details of who the graphic is for, since now knowing more about the duo it is easier to see the why you created those designs. Knowing that he is a guitar player and she is the singer - I really like the first one. Looking at that logo, that is exactly what I expect, the pick and simple name for the guitar player and the fancy script for the singer.

I think your home page is really cool. I like that your personality shines through. It is a site that once you visit, you are going to remember it. And when someone may be looking at many different web design companies, it will be good that yours is one that wil be remembered. Great job.

This is a really good question. I will have to agree with your thoughts that your general client is going to be looking for a designer more than a developer. When someone decides they would like a website what is most commonly thought of is the graphics and layouts. Everything that has to be done behind the scenes is not even considered. So for the clients I would hype designer over developer.
 
Now in some cases, like ours, we develop systems for designers, so we push the fact we are developers and not designers. I think the most important thing is knowing your client base and using the correct terminology for them.

I have never applied for a job in the web design world, so maybe I am way off on this, but my thought would be that it is never a mistake to show any and all work experience that you have had over the years. From an employer's point of view, they are looking for more things than just specific work experience. They could be looking at your loyalty, critical thinking skills, leadership, etc. So I think by listing previous work, you can show that you are a hard worker and maybe point out any skills you gained that would help you in future jobs. The color scheme is perfect, fits the bathroom concept perfectly. I personally like the scrolling bar, gives you the ability to see lots of examples without having to leave the home page.
 
Two things that I wll comment on. First, the text in the menu bar seems too small or at least not apparent enough. The Town names overshadow them. I would make sure they stand out more so your clients know to click on them.
 
Second ( a very silly thing) the logo at the top seems like it could move over just a teeny bit to be better centered. Again not that big a deal and it could just be me.

I like the color scheme that you have chosen, it has a very soothing feel to it. Which seems appropriate for the content. A couple of comments I would make are:
 
The left nav bar seems lost on the home page. When I was reading the page, I at first didn't see where I could move on to new pages. I am not sure if there would be a way that you could make it more noticable?
 
Second, the page "Help Now" does not look like the other pages. The other pages fill the screen and are easy to read. The help now page is all condenced and feels like it needs more content.
 
I am by no means a web design expert, so take my thoughts for what they are. I try to look at a site as a vistor and not a designer. Hope it helps.
