Email Signature Problem ā Outlook Image Caching
I did something similar a few years ago, so hopefully it still works! If you're using the desktop version of Outlook: File Options Mail Then hold Control and right click Signatures This opens the folders where your signatures are stored. You'll then be able to open up the HTML version of your signature and manually change the image link to the one you want to update. Save that file. If you edit things later in the normal Signatures bit, it'll overwrite your work Hope that helps!

What to do with a pair of servers (Dell Poweredge r710)
Both servers are still up in the loft, unused for precisely that reason! That and cooling them in summer would be a challenge. I've since been blessed to have picked up a Lenovo V50t for free - and am using that as my home server. Living a bit on the edge as my 8TB HDD is running without any sort of parity. But that's what paycheques are for, right? š It's currently got an i5 10400 and 32 GB of RAM, which does a decent job running Immich, a Minecraft Bedrock server, Plex, Steam cache and an almost fully functional Windows 11 webtop through a Docker container (https://github.com/dockur/windows). I say "almost" because I've not figured out how to passthrough the iGPU in a way that makes it able to use QuickSync yet š I've put a slimline UHD drive in for 4K HDR Blu Ray Plex rips, and a 2.5 GbE adaptor for editing videos on my main PC. I love the idea of swapping out the motherboard and CPUs in the PowerEdges for something more efficient! Will definitely be looking into that 𦾠Are you running a home server?

SVG - past, present and future.
I strive to use .svgs where I can for all graphical elements as they can be transparent, look nice and sharp on high dpi displays, and load pretty fast. For images and photos I don't really mind as .png and .jpg get image-optimised to .webp at the server level I predict that the current form of .svg has a limited shelf life as it doesn't (currently) support the rec 2020 colour space. An almost inconceivable amount of devices used to browse the internet support at least P3, so it's only a matter of time before web designers start making use of the extra 'pop' of the wider gamut to stand out. We've already got .heic, .avif and .jpgxl that cover HDR, so .svg has some catching up to do!

Whimsy in Web Design
It's all about the bear. See how it follows him, and changes expression? There is definitely no ROI in terms of time spent - but I just love this kind of thing, especially compared to most sites now where content is buried behind ads and auto-playing videos! PS - Have you seen anything interesting in the HTML & CSS-only space lately?

Hello - also a long shot
+1 to this. I several 'AI detectors' last week to analyse some copy. Three of them generated the exact same results, and had the same UI on the results page down to the hex values and fonts!

Multi-store website
I see! With that being the case I'd approach it how fisicx suggested. If I'm a customer and I want a product that my local branch doesn't have then I'll go elsewhere for it - but if a salesperson can see what I want in the warehouse/another store, and can get it to me; you've made a sale. With there being an online component to the business I'd give the product database fields for physical location. Something out of stock everywhere except location 'C' could still be sold to customers via the website then, and stores could track down items. In-store pickups as a delivery option would work too - but you'll need to explain to your client that they'll have to be diligent with stock-takes! If the logistics of that kind of inventory management aren't possible, and folks can create accounts, then you could capture their local branch at sign up and have the website only show products available there?

Survey results: AI use in Web Design
I find it much easier to work on something if I've authored it as I know how it is put together. Makes me think of Context Dependant Retrieval from my psychology days! Companies have invested too much in AI to let it disappear at this point. It'll only be a matter of time before we have AI toothbrushes that 'intelligently' track and offer insights on our brushing habits š

Multi-store website
+1 to what @fisicx on the risks of cannibalisation here. Are the stores going to be under the same franchise/brand? And are customers able to order products/services online?
