Based on what you’ve described, you probably don’t need to move the domain elsewhere. If it's an alias of the existing cPanel account then removing it shouldn’t affect the primary domain or the website attached to that account. I would still take a full backup first, particularly of the mailbox, before removing the domain and recreating it as a separate cPanel account. Another option would be to temporarily use 20i for the domain’s hosting and email rather than create another cPanel account. Super full disclosure is that 20i sponsors Web Designer Forum (not that you couldn't tell from the advert banners) but I don’t earn commission or receive anything from referrals. Their Startup Web Hosting plan is £1 for the first month and there’s no contract, so you can cancel it when you no longer need it. It supports one website and includes email hosting. Methinks you could create the same mailbox at 20i, use their Email Migration tool to copy the existing messages and folders across via IMAP and check everything through webmail. The migration copies the messages rather than removing them from the original mailbox, so you would effectively have a second working copy of the mailbox for a quid while you test everything. It isn’t a substitute for a proper backup, but it should reduce the risk involved in making the change. They’ve also got a cPanel and WHM migration tool Because the domain is an alias inside a cPanel account that contains a website, I would check with 20i support before using the full cPanel migration route. For one mailbox and a new empty website the separate email migration could be a decent option? 🪙🪙

I'd swap the order around and have the plans below the hero section As for the plans section itself, perhaps reorganise these and have them as a carousel. If you put them in ascending price order for example, you could use the flags to show which plans are available in USA and/or Sweden Is the Super Hybrid price a typo?

Awesome that you're finally getting round to making a website after buying the domain 24 years ago! I wonder how many of us here are sat on domains that we've not yet got round to doing anything with... The training stuff is cool, especially your plan and philosophy, so having that linked to in the main menu might be good? Other than that, everything looks and handles well on desktop and mobile for me. What camera and lens are you using for the photos you're taking? Some of these are a lot nicer than smartphone images! And how's the distancing from Facebook going?

Welcome! The only thing I can think to add to BlueDreamer's suggestion is to have a way of approaching local businesses in real life whose websites need some TLC. You'll build connections and get recommendations if you're persistent and pleasant to deal with 🤘

Does the host you're wanting to move to not have a migration tool? I'd contact your intended host's customer support and see if they can't help you.

The solution depends what you mean by "update my site". 1/ You could give your website a bit of a refresh using a static site editor, like Publii. You'd have to pick a theme and re-enter some content - but you'll be able to stay with the same local content that you upload with FTP/SFTP model like you're used to. 2/ If you're looking to add more of the same content then I'd go with VS Code. You'll be able to open your existing HTML, and it'll behave kind of similarly to what you're used to. FrontPage-specific features might need a rethink though. If it doesn't compromise your privacy in any way then you're welcome to share your URL so we can have a closer look and provide more steer if that helps?

This is one area that I've found AI to be useful! Feed the relevant regulations to a decent LLM. https://www.ada.gov/resources/2024-03-08-web-rule/ & https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG22/ for example. Tell it to thoroughly read everything on those pages. Attach the source code for the page you want to make compliant, and ask for a full audit with a list of actionable changes. Repeat until you and the bot are satisfied.

Great question! My answer is "to a degree". I'll work with folks who hold opposing views, but won't touch projects I fundamentally believe are evil/harmful (which thankfully don't come around too often). I don't find it difficult to politely explain myself, set boundaries or walk away.
