  1. I obviously spent too much time using Mattermost. To my shock the HTML inside <code> tags is rendered. Is there any nice script that get rids of rendering and adds proper indentation, or do all instructor websites really make their code blocks manually? Thanks for your help!
  2. There is a very nice sentence at the top of the imprint naming them as being responsible for all content. (And thanks for the tip.) I just started at a personal trainer. I found a business card there for a lawyer, so I asked if we could have a meeting... and their SSL certificate is out of date I just noticed, so that could work out well for both of us!
  3. Did HTML5 not do lots to enhance the video tag? But self-hosting still seems to be a dumb option? If I go down the YouTube route then the website will need a cookie banner (but I will need to have a plan to implement these for future clients anyway.) The restaurant is my neighbour, they paid little, I can decide what I want with the video / how it is uploaded. It is a nice chance to learn and get myself set up. If they end up needing a banner then I will suggest they add analytics also.
  4. I am sorry if my answer was rude. Thanks for asking again. It is a restaurant website. To be honest I thought I would never hear from the restaurant again, the old website was 15 years old! I am happy they want to add things and keep it updated. I think revamping the website gave them a push. The video shows the restaurant, it is very very nicely done. It is just over a minute long.
  5. And when someone tries to sue because the right permissions were not gotten for a photo or one thousand other loop holes?
  6. Do I need a lawyer or a legal insurance? And what about contracts? Maybe it would be easier to go as a fake customer to an agency, feel their experience and also to get their contracts to use as a basis of my own? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  7. I am new to freelancing and I wanted to ask you what is the best way to upload a video. If it is directly on the website it is a lot of bandwidth (no?) If it is on YouTube we need to think about a cookie banner (for a very simple restaurant website and until now I have gotten away with any cookies.) Please can you recommend? Thanks and best wishes.

  10. Hello again everyone, I wanted to ask you your experiences with and opinions of SVG. Many say it is dead and W3C did not put as much work in as expected. I would be interested in your opinions. And if there are are links that you can share about the history of SVG / learning resources, I would be so grateful.
  11. Hello everyone. I hope you are well. I am looking for particular words in CSS, here is the sentence I am writing. So if for a CSS animation, for the animation-timing-function property, one can use a ________ cubic Bézier easing function or a ________ such as ease-in. (I would have saud CUSTOM and KEYWORD but I am really interesting in knowing what you all think.) What are the missing words, or if you rephrase the sentence entirely it is also OK. English is not my first language and I am a self-learner and these terms are difficult for me. Thanks in advance for your help.
