We were big advocates of Vida/TSO for years - but in all honesty speed and reliability issues have crept in. Support has slowed to a crawl. It now makes sense what with Heart being involved, we moved from them originally because of the above issues. Glad we're not in the hosting clients game any more! - Ed

- Poll: Mobile Contact Form or Click to Email / Call?
Personally I think UX is less important here - what do you want the visitor to do? Are you fielding calls or do you prefer email etc? Serve the option that suits your model.- What to do when a client doesn't pay
https://www.gov.uk/wind-up-a-company-that-owes-you-money/overview- Facebook People Reached?
Facebook ada are not expensive. Boosting your post is expensive. Boost = burn your money. Custom audiences can be as cheap as 1pence per engagement! The only way you'll get organic reach is by others contributing via likes, comments and shares aka popularity! Without these triggers Facebook will not show your content. One of our retail clients gets more impressions for (certain) posts than they have total likes. So it can be done. B2B is different sure, stick to the 90/20 rule. 90% unique, interesting and valuable content, highly targeted to your audience. At the very most 10% content promotional. B2B arguably takes more time to build engagement but it's worth it - in fact I've hired a fulltime Social Media manager and we're rolling out social all day everyday very soon. Currently, like many, we overly automate and I don't like it.- Recommended Social Media online training courses?
Hello folks, long time no post. I'm currently in the process of hiring an assistant marketer to support my core staff, the assistant's primary focus for the last two quarters will be Social Media. Can anyone recommend online training course that focus on Social Media, perhaps you completed one yourself and have first hand experience? I don't mind paying, in fact I'd prefer to pay for a 'tutored' course as opposed to freebie self-learning. Appreciate any thoughts and experiences of this as I'll admit I've never personally done any 'online' training.- Project Management & Timesheeting
We use ActiveCollab hosted on a VPS. Software was £400 and the VPS is £50 per month with SSL. It's not the prettiest software but the feature set is comprehensive and our clients haven taken to it.- Music while working
We listen to Radio 6 in the office - although I can't really hear it in my office. But then I like my own head space. Sometimes I run in and switch it to Jazz FM, because I'm a maverick.- Anyone used firstfound?

It's a London client (finance sector), I'm not going to bad mouth the previous agency publicly - all I will say is we'll do a better job. It looks like we'll be removing a good third or so of the links. Loads of 'SEO' directories and the like i.e. sites built with a link and nothing else in mind. The fact is you can't rely on placing links alone and that's why true SEO costs are rising. More time, effort and skill is required to meaningfully rank and maintain a websites footing (traffic). We use keyword ranks as a barometer not the end goal. I feel sorry for SEO freelancers in a way, there's five of us working on our accounts!- Anyone used firstfound?
- Anybody here use linkdex?
Odd. DeepCrawl and Linkdex are completely different products serving different purposes. - Poll: Mobile Contact Form or Click to Email / Call?
