August 7, 201412 yr Hi WDF, I'm new here and work for a creative web design and development company. We're currently looking into streamlining our project management and timesheeting as the current process is largely paper based. i.e. Once a particular task has been completed, like confirmation of branding we write out this information along with time & cost (if necessary) on a timesheet. Now, as with most web companies there will be a couple of staff working on the same project and all updating the same timsheet, but timesheets get passed around, lost, multiples are created and so on! We've been meaning to develop a system we can collaboratively update and manage either online or software. What I'm asking is - how do you go about managing timesheeting and if you use a system, which one? We have done a little research and found http://www.liquidplanner.com but it's a little expensive at roughly £17 per user p/month! Are there alternatives? I look forwards to your replies. Thanks Lund
August 8, 201412 yr We use ActiveCollab hosted on a VPS. Software was £400 and the VPS is £50 per month with SSL. It's not the prettiest software but the feature set is comprehensive and our clients haven taken to it.

I have just had a look and it's certainly along the lines of what we're after. If there's any more systems out there please do let me know as I'm compiling a list and working out which would suit us best.
August 19, 201411 yr We are a design company of 30+ employees and we have been using http://www.officetimer.com/ time tracking software for our employees, and we are quite happy with it. It is priced reasonably like one dollar per user per month.
