How do you export properly the Gif file using fireworks cs3-4. I have use the cs3 but my pics are little pixelate . Can anyone help me how to export it properly? I'm not sure if I'm doing right.

I was intending on using Bootstrap mainly because of its layout styles and some of the styled elements such as the forms. But i'll also need stuff from jquery UI such as the datepicker, which bootstrap doesn't have. I was thinking of just using both of them together, but then I was thinking load speed, conflicting element styles and well it kinda defeats the purpose of a good framework. So what do you guys think? Bootstrap for its default styles or jquery for the nice UI?

Hi I can create thumbnails using Photoshop but have the usual problems re not all images fit into a rectangle, square etc. I've noticed that some website gallery thumbnails don't seem to have this problem. The images fit really well. I was wondering if anyone knew how to do that, is it specific software, or is it some kind of cool scripting?

Hey Guys. I am looking to somehow have a floating image at the side of a site i am working on. Ya' know like those slick contact forms or "follow us" buttons that are always in the one place regardless of where you scroll on the page? Well I am looking for something like but for it to be a square image that literally floats on the webpage. I cant find anything on wordpress.org or google. Everything I do find is "share" float boxes, but I just want an image to float that is linked into a special offers url. Is this possible? Any pointers/leads would be greatly appreciated

Hi, Funny little problem - the paste short cut in dreamweaver has suddenly started to open the tag chooser window and little surprise but its bloody annoying. It's weird, in the short cut manger the quick tag option is still cmd+t but I can't find the option for paste, it only lists paste special. I'm using a mac, and i think its just the paste short cut that has gone awol. I've tried resetting my workspace set up, tried switching to MX shortcut settings. But how can i reset my paste shortcut when there option to do so is missing? aargh..!

Hello, everyone. I was wondering how you would build a site similar to worldnews.com. Where you would have news articles listed from different agencies such as CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera, etc. The script would have to create a page on your site for the updated news article containing a preview then the visitor would click a link to the full article. In a way it's similar to RSS feeds but the script is creating a page on your site for each new article. How would I go about doing this? Is there a script out there where you can do this? This morning I installed Sublime-Text 2. It looks really nice, performs well but when it comes down to using it, it's a complete nightmare. I can't get plug-ins to install, the documentation is lacking, projects are a complete pain and not as user-friendly as Eclipse. I was wondering if anyone on here uses it? and if so, how do you find it? I would like to make the switch but so far I have no reason to.

Hi I am looking at buying Adobe Indesign 5.5 Having looked around the N American version is someway cheaper than the UK version is there any reason why I can't buy the American one ? I presume the size setting etc will be set as default differently but I know this can be changed via 'Preferences'. Ash

For some odd reason after i restart my server i have to go into my server directly with a monitor and a keyboard, log in, and log back out. Otherwise my site won't work. It's not on the internet. It is on a computer that this computer connects to. How can I stop this. It keeps taking time i don't have to log in and log out and then go to this computer and work on the server. Any help would be appreciated.

New to this..... Have downloaded a thumbnail viewer from dynamic drive. I think I have put all the right bits in the right places, but the thumbnails don't show when I go to design view. Me again. I have looked all over the place and there seems to be different ways to install drupal, but none of them have worked yet. One of my main problems is that the command line command chmod a+w sites/default hasn't done anything. apparently it is suppose to let some files create themselves. I have tried to copy the files to the server, but i think i put them in the wrong locations. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello all, Very new to these forums. I have come with a little idea. I am complete newbie but run a number of e-commerce sites so will hopefully learn quite fast. Could anyone advised me on how i should go about this? What i want is an image that has clickable invisable buttons. For example: In this picture i want to set a question.. Wheres the mirror? Now if i click on the toilet it says i got it wrong but if i click on the mirror it says i'm correct. How should this be done? Or any software you can direct me to. Hi, I am wanting to place the Lightbox script on my site and unless I am thick I just cannot get it. It says on D.Drive etc "simple to use" etc, but for me its certainly not. Here is what I would like to achieve, I want to have a login screen where you can enter a username/password and depending on the username/password entered it will direct you to a folder for that user eg; user1 would log in and be directed to domain.com/user1 user2 would log in and be directed to domain.com/user2 also obviously, user2 shouldn't be able to change the address to domain.com/user1 and be allowed access to that folder and so on. I tried to make a site with webstudio since I'm not very good with dreamweaver and i figured i could save some time this way. but I'm getting fed up with this program and i cant figure out how to just transfer the site to dreamweaver or even upload the site. I saved the site as html files with webstudio and tried to just dump all the files that webstudio created for the site with filezilla but it shows just like a normal transfer on filezilla but just doesn't appear on my site. I don't know where it went, it shows in the site directory in filezilla but then i log into cpanel and my stats show no space is used at all and the site is blank. I …

Is it just me or is Dreamweaver CS5 really glitch on Windows 7? For example sometimes when I am trying to change a H2 tag to a H1 or add a link in the Properties panel, it just does not work until I save the file and click into source code and back out and then redo the edits in the Properties Panel! So, I've just downloaded the Dreamweaver CS5 trial as I needed to start work on a dynamic site (PHP is something that I am not very familiar with) and the excellent tutorial on Adobe's site was specifically for Dreamweaver. Now, I've gone through the tutorial and made a site (albiet a test page) in about two hours that would have taken me MONTHS to build had I gone about it 'the long way' (eg. learning the PHP I need to use, coding my HTML/CSS). I tend to work on projects either from my main desktop or my laptop. Shifting files and assets around between the two was a royal pain, plus I could never guarantee that I had the latest version of what I'm working on on the machine I'm using. My current setup sidesteps that rather neatly. A free account from Dropbox gives me 2gb of cloud storage, automatically synchronized with a folder on each machine (if you need more than 2gb there's paid accounts, or you can earn up to an additional 8gb by referring people).
