Which are the most effective Link Building Activity for 2015

Featured Replies

Hello Friends..

i wanted to make a list of which are the most effective activity that we can use in our overall SEO Link Building Strategy in 2015.

Edited by Hirenmodi

The most effective thing for SEO is to write good and relevant content. I believe Google is starting to penalize link building schemes, and so it should. When I search for something I want those with the most relevant content to show up.

The most effective way to get better rankings and traffic would be content marketing. This would help to engage your customers with your unique content, blogs and thereby linking to various other websites.

It depends how you consider a 'link building' strategy. If you consider any follow href link to your site from another as 'link building' then this practice IMO is dead. I think people need to think more along the lines of 'business generating' strategy where a link 'could' be a part of it.

The three main things to take into account when considering linking with another business.

Relevance - High Heel Shoes linking to Gardening Advice ... shouldn't need to explain why this is a bad idea. However Alloy Wheel Restoration linking with a tyre fitting company makes sense; it also adds value to the web visitor as they will probably need new tyres on their freshly restored rims.

Location - Where is the business you're link to? Pointless trying to generate service leads if it's miles away from your garage so in this case if the alloy wheel re-furbisher is in Cardiff then linking with a tyre fitter in Manchester might not be of that much benefit. The amount of 'seo link building companies' who get a New York Deli to link to a garden centre in Hampton Hill is ridiculous.

Trust - Apart from the obvious 'does their site look nice, work well and score well' and 'is their site linked with bad neighbourhoods' you also need to ask yourself would you buy tyres from this company? If the answer is no then your visitors probably won't either.

This is a given, content accuracy however is on equal par to 'good relevant content'.

I've been working with a client who has asked for onsite seo advice on why their new super wizzy responsive mobile friendly site with great content built by a good company is loosing rank for certain search terms. After some digging it comes to light that the 'accuracy' of the data is in question, and if the engines 'question' the accuracy and authenticity of a sites content then I can only assume they will take action.

Take this sentence ...

"Restaurants found near Westminster within 10 miles, in average price per head range £1 - £200"

Seems innocent enough, until we break it down.

"Restaurants found near Westminster" - but there are also cafes and bars in the list.

"within 10 miles" yet the first result page only goes up to 4.7 miles.

"in average price per head range £1 - £200" - well apart from the grammar the lowest price per head in the results is £6.50 and the max is £80.00 per head. In addition 'Average' is adding all the prices together and dividing by the number of restaurants so an average price per head cannot be a range.

This is a serious contributing factor IMO.

The other thing to ensure is that you maximise the use of OG data. Getting people to share your content is one thing, but making it look appealing on the social channels is key here too.

my friend @@mindstreakz

you advising me for building content based link and you are getting links from forum signature. you must remove that irrelevant link.

Well @@Hirenmodi... I am saying that currently content marketing is a very effective link building technique but i dont think that there is any rule that we should follow only that and not have forum links right??? i hope you do understand the link which your having in your signature.. First look at yourself and then tell others dude..

Not everything is link building and Google.
Forum signature is a great way to expose your bussiness / website to real people. People show interest in your website and click on the link.

That was the initial purpose of the hyperlink, wasn't it ?

There are various types of activities which makes the more affective link building:

Like:

Delicious Link Prospecting.

Steal Your Competitors Backlinks.

Use Google Alerts For Link Reclamation.

Link Building With Your Twitter Profile.

Infographic submission sites.

Reverse Image Search.

Some stuff will get you penalized by Google. Don't do them. Anything revolving hacks and stealing will do more harm than good. Draw in visitors by providing quality content. if the content is good they will likely share it.

Seriously, don't do that. Unless you want to get penalized by Google, in that case go ahead. But it's better to rely on quality and relevant content rather than on tricky and fishy methods that can seriously harm you and if you get penalized, then all of your previous hard work is wasted.

I will start by calling it link earning to make it more concise. I believe that its still about creating quality, updated content and maintaining good relations across the web. This has been the secret of link earning from the conventional time and to me, this is gonna stay as such.

Earning links from unique content has more impact on than traditional link building techniques.it is the long term strategy to build content which is to be useful for others.

I will start by calling it link earning

I like that! One needs to earn their rank, and that is done by hard work. A good link from a relevant, popular website will surely boost your website, but to get a link from a good website takes some hard work. I am not talking about a spammy "comment link" or something.

If you get people to write and post about your product / service / website - nothing beats that.

Content based link and relevent link bulding with high authorities sites is better for Google ranking.......

The most effective ways of link building,

1- First understand the google criteria in which you need to avoid low quality content.

2- Make your anchor text more natural.

As far as I am concerned Guest blogging is considered as one of the best backlink strategy.

I agree that link earning is much better that link building.

But if you have quality content you have to promote it well so it will reach many people, and they would link to it if it's relevant, helpful and quality.

So promotion has big part in link earning.

If you are just looking for link building then directory submission and social bookmark submission are the best way to increase the number of backlinks pointed towards your website.

According to my experience info-graphics submission is the best way to get rank your keywords. As this is the new way of back-linking and Google always like to have a unique way to get relevant link from relevant sites. You can get more info about how and where to submit your infographics from the experts of Medialinkers.

Well, as everyone else, pointed out, producing and distribution high-quality content would be the default answer.

But my Point of view as Digital Media Advertising Expert @ digiclay :

  1. Publish and Share Your Best Stuff
  2. Create a Google Plus “Sharing Ring”
  3. Write for Other Websites
  4. Interviews of Micro-Celebritites
  5. Participate in Online Forums

But most of all: Help Others, and Ask Others for Help.
