Layout is quite basic definitely need improvement. The hover effect of the navigation is funny.

It will be better if you share a link or domain name. so other can look at it. i don't think someone will download your zip file.

Use any slider you want. here are commonly used sliders for wordpress. 1: revolution slider 2: layer slider 3: master slider 4: flexslider

as suggested by rbrtsmith you should try the new grid system. boxes should have same height. one thing i notice that the menu button at he left top is not align according to the design. it should be placed to most left side. isn't ?

Overall website looks great. the menu at the top seems to be to big as we scroll down. i think it should be a bit small so we can more focus on the content.
