I usually post around 3 times a week for my fb page and google plus page.For twitter i tweet everyday.If its a new page or business to be promoted, then there should be active topics posted everyday untill some audience is acquired.

Having accounts open in social medias is possible but maintaining it is tough. I make my twitter, facebook, G+ and pinterest accounts active by posting atleast 1 post daily. Sharing unique posts matter. Increase the fans and followers and keep a survey among users to know their likes.
