Great article I am also like to use Google+ and now I spend more time on Google + in comparison of other social sites.

 

JackDanielTracy, the link which you provided is awesome. Yes Google+ is beyond the conventional social networking engine, it is a lot more intelligent than the others, it has really become a knowledge engine.

 

Yaa really wothy article... Google + is really helpful to manage the website reputation.

Yes indeed it is on rise and its a product from a well established company so the rise is definate but it will take time to be on top.

I think Google plus is definitely has a more professional appeal than Facebook. It has some more unique features like hangouts and I have found a better professional network of designers, photographers here. But in terms of popularity it still behind Facebook.

I absolutely agree. Google + is a great platform used by many professionals. It is definitely less spammy than Facebook and we will see it grow in the next few years. Google always find a way to cross promote it through other services they offer.

Google really has taken the tech world by storm, which is ironic because they're somewhat pioneers of the Internet and were 'there first' with their search engine. They are incredibly capable of creating something that'll automatically become a global hit, taking Gmail and Android as examples, and it's a shame that Google+ is in the shadows of Facebook. I don't like Facebook, even though I use it since it controls my connections with friends, and Google have a knack for getting things right and this wouldn't be any different with a social network. It wouldn't trashy and a waste of time like Facebook in my mind, it'd be more sophisticated and focussed.

 

That being said, I'll keep tabs on Google+, see if my friends start using it. A social network lives or dies with your circle of friends, remarkably.

In a few years time it might be as big as Facebook and the like, but at the moment I think it's still got a long way to go...

I really struggle to like it. Just feels like too much and Facebook feels effortless. The fact that not many of my social circle use it, makes it hard for me to really make proper use of.

I hate it at the moment but I'm trying to persevere with it as you say it'll probably take off soon.

 

No matter what I can't get it to show up in my website search (some sites it shows up as a link as Google+ Page) and I can't even manage to find it on the search for my company Google+. Worrying Lol.

 

But like you say they've got so much money and experience I can't see it failing for much longer.

Google plus is fast growing social media site,which has lot of features, especially for SEOs it gives do follow link. You can make a better promotion of your site with Google plus and can drive a instantly traffic to you site.

Google Plus traffic is the most qualiy social media traffic I can get to my sites in different niches and it's completely free.

G+ is for getting more quality traffic, it's more professional than FB.

I very much like the look and layout of Google+, although I'm quite the noob when it comes to using it to its extent, and getting to know like-minded people.

The same too with Facebook.. plenty to learn. If Facebook could look more like Google+, that would be a decent step in the right direction in my opinion.

I've certainly noticed a rise in Google Plus from my members, in fact more so than Twitter which is surprising.

This is good to know (including everyone's responses). I have been really trying to figure out the best ways to build a presense in social media. I keep hearing that we need to start using Google + more, and I have been resistant. So now I think it is time to give it a really serious look.

Seeing as this has been re-raised.

 

Wasn't/isn't a Google+ profile created for everyone using a Google service then/now?

 

It would be interesting to see fresh statistics since Google+ became the enforced comment/authentication method for youtube.com

Funny this should come up, I've just finished writing an article for my blog about this topic and the causes why Google+ may be gaining popularity. In a nutshell, I theorise that its due to over-saturation of "Social" networks.

I don't think the rise is down to the decline or falling out with Facebook. I think Google+ is rising in popularity because 1)it's interaction with search verticals and AuthorRank 2)it's integrated with Google. Google is massive and is everywhere. Sign up to YouTube and you have a G+ account. Infact, sign up with any G service and you have a G+ account.

 

Facebook is going to be around for a very long time. It's becoming smart and there is a massive shift towards tackling spam and thin content. Myspace failed because it wasn't quick and it wasn't agile enough.

 

I'm not saying Google Plus won't get bigger, but it won't ever be the choice of social network.

Google+ has aggressive marketing methods, alot of people just one-click-join to shut down google popups to join the 'circles'

yes indeed. I have been spending tons of time trying to build up my google plus. It is critical these days if you want good rankings in google. Its amazing to think about what google does. Its like a popularity contest anymore who ever has the most facebook likes and google plus votes is more important in goolge's eyes.
