yes indeed. I have been spending tons of time trying to build up my google plus. It is critical these days if you want good rankings in google. Its amazing to think about what google does. Its like a popularity contest anymore who ever has the most facebook likes and google plus votes is more important in goolge's eyes.

Hello there yes i am new as well. I love finding a place to talk about web design cause I have very little people to talk or ask questions about web design. I keep telling my wife details about a site i am working on and she has no clue what i am talking about lol. But atleast she acts interested. I have desinged sites for over 12 years now. Dont make tons of money but really enjoy doing them.

Hello there just like you 12 years ago i started looking into web design. At first I got anxious about the whole thing. I also worked on computers. My father owns a computer store and i have worked there for 12 years now. He always got on me telling me i would love web design if i would just learn how to do them. So i did! I started using html and used programs like frontpage and dreamweaver. You can find so much info on youtube about how to learn what you need to learn. My customers at some point wanted to be able to login and make changes withouth having to bother me every time. So i started learning wordpress which was a little tricky at first but wow once you get the hang of it it is not bad at all. I have now designed over 65 websites for small companies. Best advice i can give is start with trying to learn small chunks at a time. Go get some books on wordpress for dummies and watch lots of videos on youtube and other places.
