May 16, 201313 yr Best. Topic. Ever. I like a lot of music while coding. One that really gets me into this 'coding realm' is Alexi Murdoch, very nice and calm, almost therapeutical music. But i also like music from animation movies (guilty pleasure right there). And sometimes i like the somewhat 'less gentle' music such as Red: If we Only, Breathe into Me and pretty much everything from Red.

Sennheiser: During my experience, I have found that Sennheiser is the choice for durability, and sound quality. I swear, I have beaten each pair of Sennheisers, and they still function as if it was first taken from the box. If you are looking a neutral/balanced pair of headphones(Clear mids, clear lows, and clear highs), go with Sennheiser. AudioTechnia: Another great brand, AudioTechnia. AudioTechnia shines its highs, and lows. Lacks the mids, but still sound decent. Another downside about AudioTechnia, is the durability. AudioTechnia headphones are the most unreliable. I had a pair, don't remember because they were broken(The grill was purple, and was open air,) and the right driver failed. I had'em for 1 year, and had my Sennheisers for 4! So I was thinking that it was a bad model, so I decided to get a better model from AudioTechnia. Received my headphones, fresh from the box, and the right driver didn't work. From that moment on, I have given up on AudioTechnia Products. AKG: Well built, and almost similar to Sennheiser when it comes to sound. However; not as rich compared to Sennheisers. Soundstage, however, is amazing in AKG headphones. With a great soundstage, 3D audio sounds great with'em. Choose on your own, man. Just be sure you stay away from over marketed, and eye candy junkie headphones. These headphones are considered the worst for their price, and are built for eye candy, and not stability & quality. Bose Beats by Dr. Dre Skullcandy Maxell Gummies Turtlebeach Gamecom Razor iFrogz Headphones that are fairly decent, but still a bit overpriced. Sony Pioneer That's it. You should also always check the frequency rate, and be sure to compare'em to other headphones. Maybe you could find a $2 pair of cans that have just a great frequency as a $20 pair of cans. Also watch for the impedance rate. The more Ohms requires more power to power the cans. Some people buy HQ headphones, and don't have the hardware to power their full potential. May 24, 201313 yr Today I found Charlie Patton. I've been into the blues scene for a while and had never heard of this gentleman. I am so glad I have. If you haven't had a chance to listen to some ole' timey bluesmen then Charlie is one of the greats to get into. Queens rendition of the Beatles' song "when Im 64" on "the night at the opera" LP was what hooked me forever. I mean if you could do a beatles song better than the beatles, then you ROCK!

Don't know if you have a significant other (or kids) but something that comes with the package is having Viva! or 4Music playing back to back chart music. Coupled with requests for Taylor Swift and One Direction, I have to balance it out by playing something from my collection a little louder. Not sure if you'll scout for any of the following but here are a couple of artists I'm listening to this week (a mix of genres to whet your palette perhaps). My Bloody Valentine (shoegaze), Sonic Youth (alternative), Boards of Canada (low-fi/ambience - [insert genre], Skream [dunno - some say DubStep], Jamiroquai [sure everyone knows], Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra [nothing like Reel Big Fish nonsense ], Soundgarden [woot woot!], James Morrisson [death metal] <cough cough>, Prodigy [let's say dance] and a bit of Faith No More [rock]. There loads more but these are the most recent. Be nice if anyone's interested in any of these

May 29, 201313 yr MBV were pretty good, you could tell their on-stage sound was bad though because they slipped out of time occasionally. A lot of my friends are Bungle fans, ive never listened to them really, but ive listened to Fantomas and Tomahawk quite a bit. The drummer of Tomahawk is in Battles, who are an awesome live band.

We got drunk in a hotel with the band mates, it was awesome.

I bet drinking with them would have been a blast! ** Just checked out Chrome Hoof - Like a bit of prog now and then. Interesting fusion. Watched the Tonyte video on YouTube.
