For us, social media is a huge part of our marketing. We can share new products, industry news, blog posts, etc. Additionally, our clients can contact us any time through these methods-and they do. I think the engagement shows our clients that we are real, we're here for them and we care about what they have to say. If people love a company they are more likely to tell others about it or share their posts. It adds a more human aspect to a medium that seems really cold and unfeeling.

Agreed!!! We don't even use it here at work. It is unpinned from the task bar first thing!!

I actually pay for the internet service with SiruxXM. I stream Octane here at work and drive the others crazy!!!!

What I've heard about the Macbook Air is that it has no CD Drive, and one USB port, which renders it useless in my opinion. That could have been a false conjecture, but when buying a laptop you want it to have all of the functionality of a desktop, and that comes with power in mind. A Macbook Pro can fulfill just that, while also being just as convenient and portable as a Macbook Air.

Apple Laptops come with graphic design interface in mind, and have exceptional versions of graphic design software that I think you would find intriguing. It may seem like hype, but they have quite a wide range of features that are very capable, especially in the design area. I apologize in advance for not answering your question to the fullest, but as soon as I saw your question the first thing that came to mind was: Macbook Pro. O.O

I would say the best way would be to use flash, or customize your own buttons and then use hover attributes to code one in html. There are quite a few ways to accomplish this and they aren't very difficult. Just do some research and you should be able to find a code easily enough,

As long as you provide inline PHP that nests with your commands and your command is recognized as executable, then there shouldn't be a problem with .html. However, with large PHP files, I've learned it's simpler to just use the .php extension. It also looks cooler

In the use that you want it for, I don't see any problems with having a pop up comment that the user uses. It's simple, and it gets the job done. The only time I don't like popups are when they are for a general message that conveys: 'whatever you're trying to do, no.' And I think you may be right about the popups, which shouldn't be a problem. I hope my input helps, I say yay personally.

I find the most difficult part of hard coding CSS is the tiniest bits of math involved. Try applying border-width, margin, cell-padding or any other space creators to 0px; or finding out what elements could have some properties that are causing your nav bar to be just a little bigger that it's supposed to be. If you can't adjust the bar's width itself, then there are other elements inside it that are cramming it beyond its width. Other than that, it could be wrapping to fit the entire element, while the yellow bar underneath simply is not. I hope that helps!

The point of the different header tags is to allow differentiation and different levels of integrated boldness for your...well...headers. It's quite a simple matter of using css to format your headers, or any object for that matter, in any way you please. But FYI, the different headers start with the largest with the h1 tag, then get increasingly smaller.

I find that just using classes is a great way to go, or ID's if I just feel like getting inventive. Since I started coding I haven't really known any specific differences, and just found it too menial to try to differentiate. Oh well, they both work for most functions that you as the coder could have in mind, save for the details that our mods can cook up

I found your idea not only creative, but brilliant. That kind of ingenuity has the capability of piquing the interest of anyone who came in contact with it, and I found the idea quite refreshing. The use of it is not so much important as the actual attention it brings to the business owner, and I think you have that in the bag. Simple colors, an easy and sturdy design, and you're good to go in my opinion.

I was banned from one forum for posting a link to a thread in one of their competitor's forums, so yes and no I try to shy away from this subject nowadays.

My suggestion for you is the laptop that some of my relatives bought for me when I went to college, one that doesn't have any of the unnecessary gimmicks and extra pricing, but that I also found surprisingly effective at getting any job done that I needed. I present to you, the antithesis of beauty in the current technology market: Lenovo ThinkPad Edge. It's not as bad as you would think, unless you had the objective of standing out in mind. There's my contribution.

This game of hide-and-seek that we all unwillingly play when we have difficulty with ANY major provider has worked wonders on my patience, and ability to regulate stress. Or I would be missing several electrical appliances around the house.

My personal suggestions are that you should leave these higher level hosts, especially if they can't manage the relatively small sites that you're hosting. Look for a host with cPanel, that doesn't oversell, and just do a little research here and there to find the most capable host that can provide you with what you need that fits your needs. If you talk to any hosting provider, you can give them your specs and they should be able to point you in the direction that's right for you.

An issue that you could have had is that the IP that was provided to you could be blacklisted with some mail clients, which doesn't necessarily have to be a fault of yours. If you notice that specific mailers are having their emails blocked, then maybe run a quick IP check with them to see if your dedicated IP is what is causing the problem. In that case, then your Host Provider should provide you with one that is clean. Protip: you don't need a VPS to have a dedicated server, Shared Server hosts can have a dedicated IP as well for cheaper, as long as you're not expending too many resources.

Remember, if you can't find it easily on their site or google, then customer service is always there to provide you with what they need! And while the webmasters on this forum are quite adequate, their services are probably better off solving more complex personal web problems that you have, while customer service is there to guide you into the simplest procedures possible. I just came out of a thread where someone was leaving Heart because of some sort of spotty service...Even thought I can't really remember it and I wouldn't go out on a limb to slander someone without all of the facts. These kind of hosts offer reliable service at a low cost, maintaining of course that you only use your shared amount of resources allocated. As long as you don't use too much of your resources with inefficient or faulty script, you shouldn't have a problem with it. However, I would do as much research as possible into cost, services that a Web Host provides, and the quality of care and customer service that they are capable of offering before making a decision.
