  1. Thanks for your insight, i've tried saving it with GIMP but the image quality turned out really bad because of the transparency pixels. If you don't check that it will just use the color in full opacity, therefore messing up the image basically. I might just set a max-width for Chrome browsers if this keeps up, but i will try to find another solution if there is one.
  2. Yeah as i said in the original post, it's only on Chrome.
  3. Hey guys, I'm working on a project involving parralax. I have a page (or scene if you will) which has multiple Images in a list. My problem is that on a screen with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels a part of the page turns black. I have been trying to fix this issue by using PNG24 which apparently is best for having resized images with transparency, but alas, it didn't work for me. In addition, the logo also disappears when using the parralax when using the parralax. This freak like issue (it is to me anyways) is only happening on Chrome. Firefox, Safari and the other major browsers perform fine with these images. Any help would be very much appreciated. the URL is: http://66943.glr-imd.nl/project
  4. Codecademy is a great site indeed! They explain everything very well and give you lots of info as to why you use different methods!

  6. ^^ iFrames are usually heavier to load than just putting your content in a textbox. Additionally, it's easier to edit your content if it's all in one page rather than having to navigate to your iFrame url's every time you want to change something.
  7. I don't think iFrames are the way to go here. Fancybox has the ability to show text (Although the purpose is for a title) with an image, so you should be able to restyle this to your needs.
  8. Is this jQuery? If so, you can probably set the height of the contact element when the page is loaded, so you can incidentally set it to 0. Also, check if the jQuery is loaded AFTER the rest of the document is loaded, this is typically done using this piece of code: $(document).ready(function() { //Run code when the page is fully loaded //Your code here });
  9. If you are completely unexperienced with Webdevelopment i suggest you check out codecademy.com! It's a great site for beginners and everything is explained extensively!
  10. Because certain themes have full responsive layouts built in, of course not all of them, but there is a fair amount of options with responsive themes already. However, you are right, there is always the option to use plain HTML/CSS in the CMS layouts, but as there is a lot of built in functionality available i assumed it's a given someone wants to use its functionality.
  11. So i've been wondering what you guys think about responsive template such as bootstrap. Personally, for now i like to work from the ground up because 1) A better learning Experience 2) I feel more in control. Obviously when Wordpress or another equivalent CMS comes into place the whole subject changes, but let's not take the CMS into account this time What do you think about Responsive templates? Yay or Nay?

    I usually start in PSD, but if i need to get the idea and features on the table i create a mindmap with little doodles that roughly visualise how i see features etc. being used on the web. Then when i have a basic layout, i start coding and continue adding/modifying certain things from there.
  19. This means that the page you are trying to redirect the user to does not exist. You should check if url you send it to exists. Maybe you made an error.
