  2. So I'm building an ecommerce site for a shoe company. They have about 15 products but a lot of variations. I'd like to set each product's price for all variations in one spot and only adjust the stock in the variations area. Is there a way to do this or am I stuck pricing each variation individually.
  3. Hey all So, this WooCommerce site I'm building is getting complex. I think I have the attributes and variations done. But what I don't understand is where do I put the amount of stock in per variation? Help!!!!!!! Thanks a million
  4. A site I'm building out using WooCommerce needs to have some drop down options (Size, Width, Shank) for the ballet shoes. How do I do this in Woo?

  7. Hello I was just wondering if WooCommerce is able to run ok with lower PHP versions than those recommended. When I check out the status for Paypal integration I get a page saying higher versions of PHP recommended, see screenshot attached. I have contacted my host and upgrading the PHP will mean a server migration and new DNS settings etc, so if I can get away without it I would rather that. Any advice much appreciated. many thanks Vicky
  8. Hi I've found the i18n folder and created a es.ES.po file. However a few words and terms aren't there to change?: Showing the single result Reviews (in the product page tabs) Related Products Really would appreciate some help and guidance on this one. thanks in advance.
  9. Hi All, Trying to split the review section of my Product Description into 2 columns. It is nested just below the Product Description. The actual reviews in one column and the Add Review form in another column along side it. Site is Wordpress with Woocommerce. To date I have moved the Reviews out of the Tabs and just below the Product Description. Look here https://www.boatpartsforless.com/shop/marpac-fuelwater-separator-filter-7-0860/. So that the page is not so long and I feel looks better in the Reviews I would like to display as mentioned above in Columns. Any push in the right direction will be much appreciated.
  10. Hi, Found a piece of code and modified it to remove Woo's review tab and then set under the product description. This is what I am using /** * Remove existing tabs from single product pages. */ function remove_woocommerce_product_tabs( $tabs ) { unset( $tabs['reviews'] ); return $tabs; } add_filter( 'woocommerce_product_tabs', 'remove_woocommerce_product_tabs', 98 ); /** * Hook in each tabs callback function after single content. */ add_action( 'woocommerce_after_single_product_summary', 'comments_template' ); Worked like a charm except for one thing which is now driving me crazy to try and figure out. Only in the ADD A REVIEW/YOUR RATE section it has removed Stars for rating system and implemented a number system 12345. Which looks like crap and don't think anyone will know what it is. If I remove my code and reviews go back to the review tab Stars are back for the YOUR RATE. Page example: https://www.boatpartsforless.com/shop/sei-mercruiser-alpha-1-gen-ii-omc-cobra-complete-conversion-kit/ Any help on showing the Stars for YOUR RATE when moved out of tabs will be much appreciated. Joe
  11. This is my first time using Sage Pay Form as a method of accepting payments. I am currently using a Bedrock, Sage Theme and Sage Pay setup. However, there is an issue with the payment receipt that we are getting sent out from the Sage Payservice provider. I have been in touch and they are adamant that this line is being added in by our current setup. I have started to check myself, by adding the following to /woocommerce/checkout/review-order.php <strong>WC()->cart->get_cart_discount_total() (Get the total of all cart discounts).</strong> <?php var_dump(WC()->cart->get_cart_discount_total()); ?> <strong>WC()->cart->get_cart_discount_tax_total() (SAB but with tax)</strong> <?php var_dump(WC()->cart->get_cart_discount_tax_total()); ?> <strong>WC()->cart->get_total_discount() (Get the total discount amount)</strong> <?php var_dump(WC()->cart->get_total_discount()); ?> <strong>WC()->cart->has_discount() (Returns whether or not a discount has been applied)</strong> <?php var_dump(WC()->cart->has_discount()); ?> <strong>WC()->cart->get_applied_coupons() (Any coupons in the cart?)</strong> <?php var_dump(WC()->cart->get_applied_coupons()); ?> And I was given the following results: WC()->cart->get_cart_discount_total() (Get the total of all cart discounts). float(0) WC()->cart->get_cart_discount_tax_total() (SAB but with tax) float(0) WC()->cart->get_total_discount() (Get the total discount amount) bool(false) WC()->cart->has_discount() (Returns whether or not a discount has been applied) bool(false) WC()->cart->get_applied_coupons() (Any coupons in the cart?) array(0) { } I'm wondering if there's an area that I need to start looking deeper in the code? Or could it be a Sagepay Plugin issue (because there was a discount fix early last year) and Woocommerce does update a lot. http://dzv365zjfbd8v.cloudfront.net/changelogs/woocommerce-gateway-sagepay-form/changelog.txt. Screenshot of the discount line
  12. Hi All, Been trying to do this for awhile with not luck. Came across this piece of code that really looks promising to accomplish what I am looking for. //Add Search To Admin Bar function trazab_admin_bar_form() { global $wp_admin_bar; $wp_admin_bar->add_menu(array( 'id' => 'trazab_admin_bar_form', 'parent' => 'top-secondary', 'title' => '<form method="get" action="'.get_site_url().'/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=product"> <input name="s" type="text" style="height:20px;margin:5px 0;line-height:1em;"/> <input type="submit" style="height:18px;vertical-align:top;margin:5px 0;padding:0 2px;" value="Search Products"/> </form>' )); } add_action('admin_bar_menu', 'trazab_admin_bar_form'); The rub is it is very close to working as I would like. Except it is to look for posts while anywhere in backend of Wordpress. I need it for products. I did change get_site_url to reflect post_type=product. But it reverts to looking for posts. Any help on this would be much appreciated. BTW: This is were I got the code from http://blog.calcatraz.com/improving-the-wordpress-admin-bar-2048#comment-183329
  13. I'm building out a store using WooCommerce as the backbone. You can view the store here: http://blindsightdelaware.org/shop/ I'm having a few issues that I need help correcting. 1. The search SUCKS! I want to be able to type in an item or category and have it show up. 2. I also want to organize the story by category. If anyone can provide some assistance. I'd be forever greatful. Thanks a million!
  14. Hi, I'd like to create a shop for downloadable products. Ideally, the download links for each product should be unique. So customers can't share the link with others. At the same time, I'd like the system to remember which customer has downloaded which products. So that when a customer deletes their product, they can re-download it again. Has anyone here got experience with this kind of thing? Which approach would you recommend? Thanks a lot!
  15. Hi , most of my customers want me to create e-commerce websites for them and most of them sell cell-phones and accessories , so their shop should have abilities like compare products , detailed-specifications of each product , and product bundle. The themes we create are highly customized like it never looks like themes on woothemes or opencart store so the important thing is scalability and flexibility of system. After a lot of research among different commercing systems , i found that woocommerce, opencart and presta shop are the bests and i liked the first two more, which one do you suggest??
  16. WooCommerce tweaking

I'm having some trouble tweaking WooCommerce to get it to look the way I like. I'm praying there's a WC guru on here! Ok, here we go: Each page (HOME, SHOP etc) says (HOME SHOP) at the top of the page. Looks naff, I'd like to get shut of those black titles. When you click on the images of the items for sale, the title of the jpeg is showing under, which looks odd. Can I ditch any image text below the pic? Can't find where you'd do that... I'd like dropdowns under SHOP for the categories (t-shirts/bannetons) rather than just clicking shop and coming onto the products... I can see the layout settings section, which shows how the page is set up, and it looks like i have it set to keep the blog and buttons to the right, yet they show left. Don't get it. I have a couple of extra buttons to fit in, one for the FairWear foundation, but I'd like to stick that on a page only accessible by a widget. How do I go about setting one up? Never done widgets before. It would be nice to have the widget button on each t-shirt page, as everything I'll be doing is FairWear. Lastly, I've deleted a load of my old site pages, now the blog/recipe section is just sort of floating. It shows up on the new site, but not under BLOG. How do I get everything across under the new menu button? Do I have to go back and forth copying the text and images from each blog entry and entering them anew in the new BLOG section? If so, so be it, I just need to know.... That's about it. I'm hoping they're not biggies, more a matter of knowing where to look to find the settings. I feel like I'm getting there - very slowly though. haha. Thanks again....

  19. hello everyone, how do you enter tax rates for United States? By state, by city, all zip codes for every single city? I'm really confused with this question because I want to evitate entering hundreds lines of zipcodes and slowing down my cart on the checkout? Appreciate your experience.
  20. Let's say we need to add custom content to every single item from category Services. This is relatively easy, as products are actually custom post types, so you can use conditional statements, as you would with any WP custom post types. First, make sure you have copied all the files from woocommerce / templates to a folder within your theme, and called that folder woocommerce. More info here http://docs.woothemes.com/document/template-structure/ We need to change single-product.php - place the code in the loop. 7. Adding custom content to a single product, depending on its category <?php if ( is_product() && has_term( 'Services', 'product_cat' ) ) { //replace category name with your category ?> <div> Your custom content goes here - could be anything. </div> <?php }?> 8. Remove the quantity fields from a product in specific category add_filter( 'woocommerce_is_sold_individually', 'cryst4l_remove_all_quantity_fields', 10, 2 ); function cryst4l_remove_all_quantity_fields( $return, $product ) { return( true ); } We have to place the above code within the conditional statement, so the whole thing will look like this: <?php if ( is_product() && has_term( 'Services', 'product_cat' ) ) { //replace category name with your category ?> <div> Your custom content goes here - could be anything. </div> <?php add_filter( 'woocommerce_is_sold_individually', 'cryst4l_remove_all_quantity_fields', 10, 2 ); function cryst4l_remove_all_quantity_fields( $return, $product ) { return( true ); }}?> In the next tutorial I will post how to customise the checkout page for Services and how to add custom fields to Checkout. Don't forget to comment
  21. Following my previous post, here is a tutorial on how to prevent customer adding to cart Services and Products at the same time. We needed to prevent customers adding to cart items from category Services and category Products at the same time, but also to prevent a customer from adding more than one item from Services to cart at the same time. However unlimited Products can be added to cart. So what we need to do is if a Service and a Product are added to cart (or more than one service), we will empty the cart and re-direct to a page, which prompts the customer to choose either a Product or a Service. 5. Prevent adding items from two categories to cart //Prevent adding items from both Services and Products to cart add_action( 'woocommerce_check_cart_items', 'cryst4l_clear_cart_url' ); function cryst4l_clear_cart_url() { global $woocommerce; foreach ($woocommerce->cart->cart_contents as $key => $values ) { $terms = get_the_terms( $values['product_id'], 'product_cat' ); foreach ($terms as $term) { if($term->term_id == 188 && $woocommerce->cart->cart_contents_count > 1){ //replace 188 with your category id $woocommerce->cart->empty_cart(); wp_redirect( 'http://url-to-your-page-here' ); exit; } else { break; } break; } } } We also don't need the cart, if a customer chooses to reserve a service, we want to go directly to Checkout 6. Redirect to Checkout, if the item is in a specific category //Redirect to checkout if Services add_filter ('add_to_cart_redirect', 'cryst4l_redirect_to_checkout'); function cryst4l_redirect_to_checkout() { global $woocommerce; $product_id = apply_filters( 'woocommerce_add_to_cart_product_id', absint( $_REQUEST['add-to-cart'] ) ); if( has_term( 'Services', 'product_cat', $product_id ) ){ // replace with your category name $checkout_url = get_permalink(get_option('woocommerce_checkout_page_id')); return $checkout_url; }; } A little bonus: 7. Create a "Empty cart" button & a shortcode Not directly related to our purpose, but here it is, if anyone needs it. //Empty cart add_action('init', 'cryst4l_empty_cart_button'); function cryst4l_empty_cart_button() { global $woocommerce; if( isset($_REQUEST['clear-cart']) ) { $woocommerce->cart->empty_cart(); wp_redirect( 'http://your-url-to-redirect' ); exit; // Optional redirect to a page after the cart is emptied. You can remove this line, default goes to empty cart page. } } And the shortcode: //Empty cart shortcode function cryst4l_empty_cart( $atts, $content = null ) { extract( shortcode_atts( array( 'text' => 'Empty cart', ), $atts ) ); return '<form method="get" action="?clear-cart"> <input type="submit" class="button" name="clear-cart" value="'.$text.'" /> </form>'; } add_shortcode('empty_cart_button', 'cryst4l_empty_cart'); This generates a shortcode [empty_cart_button text=Your text]. If you leave the text empty, the default value is Empty cart. In the next tutorial I will post how to add custom content to a single item page, depending on its category and also remove quantity buttons on services items, as we don't want customers to reserve more than one item at the same time. Don't forget to comment
  22. Hi everyone, apologies for being absent from the forum recently, work has been mad! I have been working with Woocommerce a lot recently, mainly crazy stuff, like using Woocommerce as a reservation system and a shop at the same time. Surely there must be a better way of doing this, however for my client's needs, this turned out to be the most effective option. There are not many tutorials online on how to do what I did, so I have decided to post a few here, for anyone interested. Please feel free to post comments and suggestions. These tutorials require advanced knowledge of WP and Woocommerce. So here it is - Using Woocommerce as a Reservation system and a Shop First of all, let's see the final results we are looking for. For the purpose of this tutorial let's say we have to create two product categories: 1. Products - physical products, which customers can order from the site and have them delivered. 2. Services - services which customers can book for a particular day and time, and pay a fixed rate deposit. 3. Different checkout pages for both, so different information is collected from customers on checkout, depending on if they order a product or a service. Limitations: Customers cannot add a product and a service to the basket at the same time. Let's start with a few relatively easy to follow Woocommerce snippets. 1. Remove category from shop catalog. We don't want Services to appear on the shop page where Products are listed, so we need to remove all items in category Services from the shop. In functions.php paste the following code: //Remove Services from Shop add_action( 'pre_get_posts', 'cryst4l_hide_category' ); function cryst4l_hide_category( $q ) { if ( ! $q->is_main_query() ) return; if ( ! $q->is_post_type_archive() ) return; if ( ! is_admin() ) { $q->set( 'tax_query', array(array( 'taxonomy' => 'product_cat', 'field' => 'slug', 'terms' => array( 'Services' ), // replace Services with your category name 'operator' => 'NOT IN' ))); } remove_action( 'pre_get_posts', 'cryst4l_hide_category' ); } 2. Change add to cart button text We also want to change Add to cart button depending on if it is a Service or a Product customer is ordering. Let's say we need the button to say Add product to cart, if product and Book a service if service, and for any other category, we'll leave simply Add to cart. //Change Add to cart button, depending on Category add_filter('single_add_to_cart_text', 'cryst4l_cart_button_text'); function cryst4l_cart_button_text() { global $woocommerce; $product_id = apply_filters( 'woocommerce_add_to_cart_product_id', absint( $_REQUEST['add-to-cart'] ) ); if( has_term( 'Services', 'product_cat', $product_id ) ){ // replace Services with your category name return __('Book a service', 'woocommerce'); // replace Book a service with anything you need the button to say. Same for the below categories and button text } elseif( has_term( 'Products', 'product_cat', $product_id ) ){ return __('Add product to cart', 'woocommerce'); } else { return __('Add to cart', 'woocommerce'); } } 3. Change checkout button text On Checkout, we want to change the Place order button to say Finish reservation if it's service and then Buy product, if it's product and leave simply Place order for anything else. We need to take note of the Category IDs, let's say we have Services ID of 188 and Products ID of 199. You can find the category ID from WP admin panel >> Products >> Categories >> Edit category (choose a category to edit), then if you look at the URL in the address bar on top, you will notice your category ID. It looks like this: http://www.yourwebsite.co.uk/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?action=edit&taxonomy=product_cat&tag_ID=188&post_type=product //Change Place order button depending on Category add_filter('woocommerce_order_button_text', 'cryst4l_checkout_button_text'); function cryst4l_checkout_button_text() { global $woocommerce; foreach ($woocommerce->cart->cart_contents as $key => $values ) { $terms = get_the_terms( $values['product_id'], 'product_cat' ); foreach ($terms as $term) { if($term->term_id == 188){ // replace with your Category ID return __('Finish reservation', 'woocommerce'); } elseif($term->term_id == 199){ //replace with your Category ID return __('Buy product', 'woocommerce'); } else { return __('Place order', 'woocommerce'); } break; } break; } } 4. Remove Woocommerce tabs from all single pages We have decided we wouldn't need the Description and Reviews tabs on any single post, be it Product or a Service. If you need the tabs, don't use this code. If you know how to remove tabs only on certain category single pages, please make sure you share your knowledge. //Remove tabs from single product / service add_filter( 'woocommerce_product_tabs', 'cryst4l_remove_tab', 98); function cryst4l_remove_tab($tabs) { unset($tabs['reviews']); unset($tabs['description']); return $tabs; } In the next tutorial we will make sure a customer cannot add a Product and a Service to the cart at the same time. Hope the above helps and please let me know your comments.
  23. Woocommerce Facebook integration

Hi, I want to integrate my woocommerce shop into Facebook. Found 2 plug-ins/extensions so far: Facebook Tab (from WooCommerce) Social Commerce (from Obox Themes) Couldn't find any reviews or comparison. What's the difference between them? Does anyone here have personal exerience - good or bad - with either of these, or can suggest another option? Thanks a lot!
  24. Hi I have the latest versions of both WP and the WC plugin. I have used WC before and I never had this same problem. Usually I just go to Products > Attributes and set up my product variables, size, amount, finish etc. But on this occasion when adding a new product I choose 'variable product' and under attributes what I've just created is not there? Anyway so not the end of the world I have now taken to trying to do this individually on each product, which is fine because there are many variations, but it just reorders them? Say I put in 1|5 - £21.73|10 - £28.85|25 - £35.16|50 - £50.55|100 - £80.81 when I save and go back it has changed them to show 1 | 10 - £28.85 | 100 - £80.81 | 25 - £35.16 | 5 - £21.73 | 50 - £50.55 and this order is then shown on the product, which is very confusing. am I missing something? Some advice would be great.
