  1. I have a totally different opinion over this but maybe it's because I sell YouTube related services such as views myself. I provide only REAL views/subs/comments/likes and I mention it on the website where I sell it. There are various companies that provide Facebook related services and if they mention that the likes are real then they are real, if there's nothing mentioned about it then it's most likely that they're using bots. To be honest it's not that hard to find out if your likes or fans are fake, with YouTube for example if your traffic is bot generated then not only there's a big chance that your view counter will get stuck at a specific number such as 301+ or 1200 but your overall video statistics will remain the same. It's a little bit different with Facebook but still quite easy to recognise if the accounts that liked your page are real or not such as by checking their overall activity, personal info, friends etc.
  2. After creating the logo, you can just use the layer style techniques in Photoshop to add the 3D feel or if you don't feel like learning the whole proccess, you can get an action script for Photoshop which will automatically convert your piece of artwork into 3D. Take my avatar for example, it was a simple text "nt", I played with layer styles and added a 3D touch this way.
  3. Thanks a lot guys, much appreciated 4li4s.
  4. I've created a CV using InDesign and included my works in there, used this approach for over 2 years. For now, in order not to disclose too much personal information, I just set a link to my dribbble profile and themeforest profile. This way my work can easily be analysed and monitored, plus these boards require significant quality from your products which means that I could prove my efficiency.
  5. I do not record the time I am working because I am planning ahead how much it's going to take me to complete a project using Gannt Chart. So, far I've never predicted anything wrong with my project timing, however, it doesn't work for everybody.
  6. Hello, I've been a lurker of this community from July 2011 to November 2011, I posted seldomly but enjoyed reading what others had to say. I suddenly remembered WDF today because it was one of the factors that got me involved into web design which is mostly what I do until this day other than social marketing. Glad to see some old users are still here, even though I am quite sure that they're unlikely to recognise my lurking personality. Cheers.
  7. As someone mentioned above it's way more better than most of the websites that Driving Schools have, however, other than functionality the design is not that pleasing to be honest. Reminds me of early 2000's, simplicity looks amazing if it's applied the right way, here to be honest it's not applied properly. Good job though.
  8. It depends upon the purpose of the website so I'll abstain from voting. If the website puts accent on the text content such as WDF or Reddit then I'd prefer a light tone in order for it to be readable and simplicity in the overall design. However, if it's the website of some action game for example then it would be more suitable for it to be darker and filled with high quality graphics.
  9. Do you want to find a similar HTML/CSS version or WP, Joomla etc.?
  10. Nobody seemed to mention it but you could actually purchase services which boost your social media profiles/pages. There are many providers who sell Facebook likes for reliable prices or you could buy premade popular groups.
  11. You have to try different methods to see what suits you best. Some people find it easier to sketch it on the paper first and then using software such as Illustrator/Photoshop convert it to a sleek digital form and then code it of course. I prefer to start straight from Photoshop and play with it until I find the perfect balance, with a blank mind I always end up creating something that appeals both me and my client.
  12. Hello, Recently I switched to PS6 from PS5 and when I started to work with shapes, I got a horrible problem. Whenever I create a shape, it has a black border (I checked the layer style and it's not a stroke), no matter what I do every shape has a black stroke. It's not the TAG PATH but something else, I tried to find a solution for the problem but didn't find anything that could be useful. Here's a screen: Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
  13. 1 day will be enough for me personally (I'll complete it time of some hours with some little breaks for inspiration). But you never know what might happen so better ask for 2 days.
  14. I don't want to sound like a total asshole but to be honest it hurts my eyes. The first thing I observed is a long slider which has lot of free space on the right and left side. What fonts are you using? I'd recommend you to search for "50 best looking fonts"/"original fonts for webdesign", because the fonts used by you look bad. The main reason why I don't like the template is because it's too simple and has lot of free space, maybe back in 1999's it was a good design but for nowadays it's outdated.
  15. I had the same issue and the problem was caused by the full C disk. I just cleaned it up and was able to continue my work, I don't know if this helped you so better try contacting adobe support if you have a licensed version of their product.
  16. The online contract system isn't working properly but it helps sometimes, previously I worked in partnership with a french coder. We made a contract in which was said that "We shall not sell any files that belong to ***** company unless told or given permission to do so.". He sold our project on a theme stock and took all the income, I sent a ticket to the marketplace with our contract (they took the cash and banned him).
  17. 1. The carrot icon is rendered badly, I can clearly see the rough edge. Maybe you should find some images or icons with higher quality. 2. You should improve the typography, the font of bold text is too simple and make the website look really poor. I'd suggest you some like Nevis or Bebas (if you want to keep it bold). 3. Create a logo from scratch, company's website can reveal their work capacity so I'd suggest you to put more effort. 4. Contact Our Team tab doesn't work so as a client I'll be unable to ask for help. I like the idea in general but with some improvements you'll make it better.
