July 6, 201115 yr Hi there, I have a guy in America (i am UK) that wants to partner on a project. I do the dev and he does the SEO with a view to earning advertising revenue. I am just wondering what is the best way to protect both of us in case things go sour? Thanks.
July 6, 201115 yr Contract and dont talk personal only business. Not to scare you but I had two like this in the US. One robbed me for 20k and the other was all over the papers for stealing almost 5mil from customers... Tread carefully its not like you can jump in the car and turn up on the door step few hours later
July 7, 201115 yr Author Thanks. I am gonna go with my gut on this and give it a miss. There is just something about the guy. Much appreciated!
July 9, 201115 yr The online contract system isn't working properly but it helps sometimes, previously I worked in partnership with a french coder. We made a contract in which was said that "We shall not sell any files that belong to ***** company unless told or given permission to do so.". He sold our project on a theme stock and took all the income, I sent a ticket to the marketplace with our contract (they took the cash and banned him).
