Maintain multiple, seperate personal websites (dev blog, portfolio, etc) or have it all 'under one roof'?
Thank all. The main sticking pooint for me is say if I want to discuss my methods in depth. Is this really information that I want to be giving to clients? I feel that I may be somewhat restricted in what i can say. Then on the other hand I don't want to have to run 2 blogs... Tricky one.

I am currently redeveloping my personal website. I am a freelance web developer / SEO amongst other things. My question is this - I have always wanted to sdtart a blog documenting my work and such. like a webmaster / web dev blog. Is it best to do this sperately from my freelancing website or should I just do it all on the same website. Obviously if it's on the same website then more people will se my protfolio and such but then I may feel 'restricted' in what I can blog about as potentail clients will be siing it. I don't want to give away my tips and secrets etc to potential paying clients but then I want my freelancing site to benefit from the extra traffic a blog will bring. What are your thoughts or what have you done about this? Thanks, : )

Thanks for the feedback. We are currenlty transitioning to site wide SSL so i suspect this is to blame for some of the errors. Could you possibly post a screenshot? Thanks,

I'm From Yorkshire - E-Commerce Website Critique
Greetings WDF. It's been a while since i posted. I'm sure you know what it's like - things have a temndency to take all of your time. Anyway - this time last year I was starting a social media management agency. Some of you may remeber me posting about it: http://mihagency.com/ During our work at the agency we started a page on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/yorkshireandproud The page, I'm From Yorkshire grew rapidly and gained a lot of loyal suppourt. On Yorkshire day last year (1st Aug) we launched a website. Here is a screen cap of the original website: As you can see we started off quite basic with just 4 designs on offer. The whole thing was done in < 24 hours. Here is the website in it's current form: https://imfromyorkshire.com It's going well. Sales are strong and we now have 50+ products. What I am looking for is a second opinion or two. I have done all of teh work myself. The site did start off as a template but it has been modified considerablty. Things I am loking for are: layout on site SEO conversion optimisation and so on. There are plans to re do the homepage to be a mix of the products and blog once we have a bit more content. Any ideas and feedback will be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

New agency website review?
Aplologies for the slight delay. Can't moan about being busy though I suppose! Fixed! : ) I have removed the text in the footer in favour of a mail sign up. Does need more attention yet though . . I removed the scrolling twitter feed but I like the logo it took me hours! : ) The intro link is gone in favour of the graphic. Video not on autorun anymore. Lionks in footer underlined. Thanks : ) I had to ask a designer but I think I have improved the 'leading' ? : ) I have hopefully reduced this now. Thank you all for your feedback so far and I will be back! Here is our new social media landing page too: http://mihagency.com/social-media-management.php : ) Thanks!

New agency website review?
Greetings WDF, It has been a while since I posted. It's been a while since I posted on any forum to be honest. The past year or so has been very busy for me. I went self employed September before last and have been none stop. I am now hopefully getting a grip on things and can spend more time again networking with my peers such as you guys, joining in, and maybe helping a few people out where I can . . Long story short, I am now partner in a new agency. We specialise in social media management for which we have a small team. Then we do design and print jobs, a bit of event related stuff and of course web and SEO: http://www.mihagency.com/ Personally I like the website. Of course there is more than one person in the office and everybody has a slightly different opinion on stuff. I need some help to get some professional advice and information that we can all discuss and then hopefully get something decent that we all agree on! A few points: There is no portfolio section yet. That is to come soon. There are no testimonials. They are going on this weekend. They may be added by the time you read this. (i was planning a slider on the bottom of the homepage) We have a designer working on a graphic to add to the left of the video on the homepage that will make it more interersting and 'blend / tie it in a bit better'. We are mainly targeting nightclubs and bars. This is why the look of the site is not what you may expect from a typical agency. The manager is a nightclub promoter and has experience in this industry plus a good name / network in our local area. Eventually we want to branch out and deal with more corporate clients but, for now are are focusing our energy on what we are good at. Please spend two minutes and have a look / let me know what you think. I would greatly appreciate any feeback and ideas : ) Thanks, http://www.mihagency.com/ (I am the second one down on the homepage if you didnt guess!)

New travel blog, how's the design?
The mistakes i was refering to are the ones I listed . . . If its fluid width which i didnt realise then there might not be a lot you can practically do just that you should try and keep everything in line. Personally I never use fluid layouts partly for this reason . . most of my sites are 960 px wide as this will fit on the majority of screens.. I understand that some people will be against this idea but.. it just makes life easier! With regards to the load time try this: http://www.websiteop...rvices/analyze/ Though if you have gone with a budget host then that could be your problem. Hosting is one thing not to be scrimped on! Sorry for the delay and HTH : )

Portfolio website
Festive greetings! http://edwardmc.com/ Please have a look and let me know what you think. There are a few final tweaks such as adding privacy policy. I am aware that its only one page... this was intentional though I am open to suggestions. Based on feedback do far I am moving the 'about me' content to a less prominent position . . Thanks!
