I think what the OP meant was that he started on working to bring up his SERPs a month ago. If the site is still young, it is typically noraml for it to fluctuate on its ranking. Give it sometime until Google sees that your site is prominent enough for your keywords and you will then have stability in your SERP placement. I suggest you nuild more quality backlinks to it for now.

Google PR Update
Still no change in our sites PR. Was hoping to get a PR5. Guess I would have to wait till the next update to see if my efforts to build our PR worked
