Hi, can anyone please suggest as what are the off page methods used to improve the ranking of the keywords other than directory submissions.

Try to use the keywords as many times possible in the Content of your page.

Reusing keywords wont boost and of your "off page" factors.

 

I don't know if you are referring to a blog or a straight forward website?

 

Some of the other techniques you can look into is creating a great informative post on your blog,if you have one which people would find interesting and would want to link to. One of the sure winners here would be to create a "top 10" list of something,people love those type of things. Another good one for beginners is reciprocal linking - checkout http://www.linkmetro.com/ - they mate it a lot easier...

 

Always remember to try and get the keywords you are targeting inside the "link text" that will point to your page.

Building links will also not gain you positions, it will simply help your PR which gives you more stable positions. If you want positions, create relevant content and optimise your code.

Submissions? You can also write quality articles and press releases, and then submit them. Aside from that, do some social bookmarkings and blog commenting, they can help in gaining traffic. And do quality link building
