I’m not sure where to post this but is it possible to have a site detect how it’s being accessed and then show content for it? what I mean is it possible for me to have video clips on a site that are in flash but if the site is accessed by an iphone have the site detect this and show an iphone version of the same content? If it is possible can anyone give me any pointers on how to do this?

I’m not sure where to post this but I have a hosting package with media temple. They have got this thing called django containers I’ve looked on their site and I no I’m probably going to sound like an idiot now but what are they and what do they do?. I’m assuming there for running applications in if that’s so why would you need one?

You can do what you have described on either package. The difference is one is on a widows sever which means it uses Microsoft software. There are other difances but I don’t no enough to be able to explain every ting.

I had an e mail from china asking me if I owned my domain names I told them I owned the .co.uk and the .com then I got the e mail below..... this is proberly stupid but Im assuming this is a scam. is there any waythis could be used against me??? This may be a bit of a stupid question but... In 2005 I registered photofinale.org I’ve now decided to set up a company called photofinale so what am I meant to do with the domain name? I have also got photofinale.co.uk would I be best advised to start using the .co.uk name. the reason I’m asking is because a few people have told me I shouldn’t be using the .org as I’m a company. If I was to change to photofinale.co.uk what’s the best way for me to make this switch? As in if I set my domain name provider to re direct .org to .co.uk

I’m not really sure where to post this so hopefully it’s ok here. I’m currently re righting the ether text for my web site. there’s some pages that I’ve thourt of as I’ve been doing the text that I think people would or might look for but they don’t fit in with he rest of the text or sections on my site so my question is... A site map is this actually 2 different things? I assumed it was something that was sent to Google or other search engines but I’ve seen many people have link to a site map and it’s a page with a like to every page they have. Any way the reason for that question is if I make one off pages for things that don’t quite fit in with my sites design would I add these pages to the site map with the links on it? Or would the standard practise be to right the content into the existing site? I was planning on optimising these pages for search engines is this a silo page is?

Im testing in ie and fire fox. Ive just tryed the other method and tested in ie but if I add a hight value it stays that hight and dose not change. Im assuming Im super rubbish? As I work around I’ve gone in to the main content area in the middle and added <p> </p> until the content fits the screen. I haven’t up loaded it yet but it’s working in the browsers on the computer I’m testing it on.

for adding the div.spacer which div tag do I need to add it to? <body class="thrColAbsHdr" or <div id="container"> in my css file Ive added div.spacer { clear:both; } In Dreamweaver it makes the design look very odd. When checking in the browser it doesn’t appear to have done anything. I’m testing it in ie and fire fox I’m assuming I’m doing something wrong?
