What iPhone/iPad games you playing?

Featured Replies

Morning all,

Just wondered if you're playing any good iPad/iPhone games at the moment and if you've got any recommendations for new ones worth a punt?

Banana Kong & Zombie Chicken Defense seems to be prioritising my spare time & the occasional dabble on Bad Piggies (From the creators of Angry Birds).

I coud be leveling up faster, but refuse to pay for in-game upgrades, i'm going about it the old-skool way when people had patience! (And lesss money ;) )

I played Clash of Clans for quite some time but I'm starting to get bored now because it's requiring too much time input.

I play Trigger Fist which is a fun third-person shooter.

I played Modern Combat 3 for a while but got fed up of the constant crashing and hackers but now there's a fourth one out and although it looks to be greatly improved, I'm trying to stay away from games to focus on my studies.

Minecraft Pocket Edition - Just for some fun pickup-and-play creativity.

Asphalt - A great racing game.

Most RPGs - Final Fantasy, Crisis Core, Inotia, Zenonia and soon - Bastion.

Any game made by Kairosoft, very fun and addictive!

Also, I don't really play it but it's a great game - Plants VS Zombies - Which is currently free for a limited time!

If anyone wants to add me on GameCenter, I recently made a new account // Alluziion (the // is part of the name).

I agree with Alluziion - Plants Vs Zombies is a great game. I used to play it far too much. I originally bought it for my Mac, then iPhone and finally PS3. The latter worked at great for when people came over but it was the iPhone version I played to death.

Last year I played Dungeon Hunter excessively. Unfortunately it's a pay to level up app and I spent a good deal of money on it purely because I was 'on holiday' but snowed in. There was nothing else to do ;). Similar to that (but a rip off if you want to level up) is Kingdoms and Lords. A bit like Settlers if anyone remembers that, but obviously watered down. It's free to download but you have to use real money to purchase gems. I think both games are through Gameloft.

I've played the first two dungeon hunter game which were pretty good but got a little repetitive unfortunately.

I also played Kingdoms and Lords but I could see where the game was going and quit before it began eating up my time; and speaking of Settlers, I have that on my iPhone as well but never really played it because the screen was too small and had forgotten about it since I've bought my iPad - I might have to reinstall that! :p

Technically not playing it on my iPhone/iPad - but instead my S3 - Shadowgun:Deadzone (iTunes store link).

It's horribly addicting, amazing graphics too. Best of all, it's FREE! Thinking about grabbing my iPad when I next go 'home home' just to play it!

I've never played that but have come close to downloading it a few times, it looks like a great game and yes, amazing graphics which brings me onto Infinity Blade... Another game that I've downloaded but never played.

I'm a word game lover and the games I play are:

  • Scramble with Friends
  • Ruzzle
  • Wordament
  • Words with Friends

I've also completed the 4 pics one word craze and had a go at Candy Crush, which is highly addicting lol.

Just installed Scramble as a couple of the other suggestions where a bit full-on for right now, but i'll check them out again when I've got a bit more time.

Scramble is fantastic, have no idea how people get 2,000+!! :unknw: - Some NASA based slick fingered smarty pants!

I just recently saw the video of you playing the word game where you blew the mind of your phones screen! Amazingly fast!

Some of my favourites are:

Words with Friends - Scrabble pretty much :)

Coin Dozer - Your standard arcade coin pusher, paying more in than you make out! lol

MX Mayhem - Motorcross Bike game

Angry Birds - No explanation needed, we all know it lol

Bike race is a fantastic pass-time, strongly recommend it - for any ages!

Recently started playing Infinity Blade 1 & 2 and wow, amazing games for anyone that likes a good grinding RPG to pass time and appreciates good graphics (which I'd assume you would as web designers).

Thumbs up for GTA Vice City! awesome game and it hasn't been narrowed down at all so you can still do all of the missions as you did on the PS2. As for graphics they really are a step up and the performance is great! can only judge that from using the iPhone 5 though. And temple run is an awesome game when you're bored and want something to do while you're travelling on a Bus, Train and so on.. well that's what I do anyway

i'm playing Max Payne on my Nexus 7 android :)

For me at the minute its the following:

Minecraft Pocket Edition (iPad) - Need I say anymore? :D

Final Fantasy (iPhone but running stretched in iPad) - I love RPG games.

Sonic CD (iPad & PS3) - Im a Sonic nut

Sonic 1 (iPad) - Especially now they re-released it with Taxman's engine!

Order & Chaos (iPad) - MMO, on my iPad - SOLD!

My favourite game on my IPad is Battle Squadron. I'm an old Amiga gamer.
