I'd probably change some of the images as they seem to be copied from the internet retaining the grey background around the image. But on a positive note with a few tweaks it should start to look professional.

Hi All, I'm using Photoshop to create a visual representation of a website that I would like, however once I'm starting to write this up in Dreamweaver I'm not quite sure how to create this header shape using CSS without having to just add the header shape to a transparent background in Photoshop and insert the header background as an image in Dreamweaver. I didn't want to do it this way as I'd like to retain flexibility, like be able to change the colour of the header backgrounds gradient colour by changing the CSS properties. But how would I go about creating this shape in Dreamweaver?

Would you say for inexperienced grid users that this is a good way to get started? and I still haven't looked too much into this grid set-up, right now to me it just seems to confine what I want to do, well make the design more static I should say.

I agree that it is good how Adobe is putting it out there, I mean up until now I never really noticed they existed. And it does seem as though it saves a lot of effort beings as the CSS sorts out the position and it also contains files to make sure it's very cross compatible. But I'm definitely going to look into the responsive side of things, I've just used a 960 grid template with 12 columns in Photoshop and already I've hidden the grid away as I feel confined lol.

Fair enough, However the Fluid Grid layout doesn't just show you how the site would look at a different screen resolution, from what I can gather a CSS stylesheet is created and it contains three different sections which apply to the three different resolutions. And when you start designing your site the CSS contains percentages and essentially aids you by resizing what ever content you add across the different resolutions. Of course slight altering needs to be done depending on the complexity, like I seen a tutorial of someone who flicked to the smart phone resolution and chose to hide a sidebar div as it wouldn't be beneficial on a smart phone. But that's probably the bare bones of it, I wanted to know if people have designed a website using a fluid grid and then compare it to how they would usually design the site. Hi All, Just started my 30 day trial of Adobe Creative Cloud and it's the first time I've actually noticed the Grid template that Dreamweaver has, usually I'd just start with a blank HTML and start from there. But this new Fluid Grid layout looks interesting, and definitely looks like it could save some time beings as you have the ability to preview and set-up your website for a desktop, tablet and mobile based resolution. But what are your opinions on this, is this something you'd start to use or are there some problems that come with this type of set up. Thanks.

I think it's looking fairly good mate, I would agree that the logo could do with some work in terms of the colors as it is slightly hard to read. But as for the rest I think you have maintained a consistency of a light and elegant look. Just needs those final tweaks and I think they will be pleased. =]

Well that to me sounds as though you done very well, to not update a site and still manage to have a flow of traffic shows that what you started could have had so much potential if you had continued to update it. =]

This is really good and brings back all the memories of previously being told how to correctly do things while using a computer system, it's amazing how fast you pick up bad habits and forget about the consequences of doing things in the wrong way.

Thumbs up for GTA Vice City! awesome game and it hasn't been narrowed down at all so you can still do all of the missions as you did on the PS2. As for graphics they really are a step up and the performance is great! can only judge that from using the iPhone 5 though. And temple run is an awesome game when you're bored and want something to do while you're travelling on a Bus, Train and so on.. well that's what I do anyway

Hi All, Just thought it would be good and "inspirational" for people to post up some of their successful websites that you have created, give some background information of what made you start, how it first went in terms of traffic or income and how long it has taken for you to finally say you have been successful in your personal goals.

Lol, well I'll attach the Function.php as that seems to be the only thing that may influence on how the email is sent. The Above HTML was the email template hence why i assumed that this was the problem. Also this is the tutorial http://net.tutsplus.com/tutorials/php/create-a-signup-form-with-email-confirmation/, it contains pretty much everything (code wise) that is used so you may be able to pull out the correct information from their and see what is causing that dodgy url link. Hi All, I have followed a tutorial and again I am stuck, I have set up my registration and email confirmation but when I get the email confirmation I have a link which is supposed to be clicked which in return will connect to the database and set the value from 0 to 1 to show that the user is verified. However the HTML template seems messed up, as though the link is entirely wrong. If I right click and copy the link location this is where it is trying to go to. http://{http//www.universaltechnology.co.uk%7D/confirm.php?email={sweetzdesigns_iphone@live.co.uk}&key={98f1730abc437b76b00f520c5dd1cd20} I have manually tried removing this { } and re-submitted the page however it cannot find the server :S. It may be a easy fix but this is like my first attempt at PHP so its a lot to take in. Thanks for any help!!

Thank you, I can appreciate with what you are saying. However I did do a Google search however being such a noobie to PHP I was inputting the wrong information. Like now for instance I know that I needed to find out specifically what was meant by depreciation rather than trying to copy paste the majority of my error.

Oh Nicely Done!, they support both Windows and Linux platforms so you get the best of both worlds and it clearly states the support for mysql =] and yes it is for university but by putting the website out live I may get some well needed brownie points, could be the difference of getting 70% instead of 60%. And I like creating websites so its a worth going for it anyway. I can't knock 123-reg much though, I got the £4.99 package for £1 per month, a free .biz domain name and £75 to use on Google so its a great and cheap option to go with. So hopefully after going with TSO I'll get the ball rolling with creating this login system, which no doubt I'll more than likely be back here picking your intelligent brain because I get stuck again lmao.

Hi, no they don't. You can only set up a mysql database on the linux web hosting, I've seen there step by step processes and could clearly see the option to create a mysql database. As for windows web hosting it looks as though i'm stuck with the msql database, but no tutorial I have seen use msql databases so I'm stuck :/

Hi I've looked into the FAQ's and 123-reg do support mysql databases but they are only available on the linux web hosting, if you choose windows like I have they automatically create those msql databases. I wanted to create a login system that sends users an email upon successful registration, however even on net-tuts every tutorial only uses mysql and not this msql :/
