He hasn't paid me yet. :)

It was a serious post though.

Actually, on a serious note - your desktop makes mine look like poo!

Why don't you make your portfolio site in that style??

It's a pitty I didn't draw or have anything to do with the design of it. It was downloaded from here.

I may have a go though. It could be a more interesting style and less like a fag packet :mf_rudolph:

I do love a Mac desktop. Always looks alot more organized than Windows.

I daren't show mine in case I've left anything incriminating !

I had to delete a few icons before I posted.

I am right though. :drinks:

Nice thread nice to see something that isn't some one complaining.

My very minimal desktop as I don't like it to be messy.

That's far to neat and tidy.

I'd show mine but i've been trying to organise all the files on it for months.

That's far to neat and tidy.

It's funny I'm the messy one around my house but I'm a little OCD when it comes to the files and folder on my pc :pp

I try to keep it tidy I just never seem to be able too. I must clear and tidy it at least once a week but it always ends up in a mass of icons by the end of the week. I do try. I'm tempted to shove all of them into a new folder just to keep it clean and tidy.

Here's my home rig. The right monitor is a 24" in portrait mode, so it's a bit taller than the 30's, hence the back area.

Forgive the huge image, I had to put it down to 60% quality to make it sort of reasonable.

Here's mine. I never use the desktop for temporary files, I always use a TEMP folder, so my desktop is always neat.

I've got an old XP computer which has a lot of other browsers like Chrome, Opera, Safari for testing, and other programs like VLC media player, Skype, Camedia (Olympus) camera software, so I try to keep my main PC with just what I use frequently.

Notice how the two mods plus Dizi (I count you as a mod) so far have the neatest desktops? That says something. Skidz has a neat desktop, but with that many icons I'd never find anything quickly. Porkchops? Neat but confusing with three windows.

teehee I did wonder who the third mod was that posted :pp

Though I think that Renaissance just put all his desktop clutter in the 'to sort' folder like Robbie suggested just to make it look like his is tidy :pp

You cheated Chris :)

I do love a Mac desktop. Always looks alot more organized than Windows.

How is one desktop with a row of icons t the bottom any different from another desktop with a row of icons at the bottom any different?

Currently not at my desktop but I'll post it up when I am. Be warned it's a ver boring Vista desktop though.

Have some +1's on me.

Renaissance that is scarily like my desktop!

Porkchops - that backdrop took a while to load on my missus' Dell mini, but it was nice!

:)

I just like the way the mac looks that was all. :)

Must say as a work laptop this has had very little abuse in terms of files thus far :p, but my desktop however is a mess .. (pics soon to come) ... picture 2x 40" monitors full of icons and you'd get the idea  .

That sounds cluttered :)

I'm in class right now and my PC here and at home is no where near as nice as y'all. Still using XP can't afford a new PC yet, bloody bills out my ears...

Here's my PC in class anyway.

How did you get that bar at the top?

Thanks. I'll have a look.

No problem man, you can even use it to substitute your windows taskbar by configuring the settings to minimize windows to the rocket dock. but I prefer to have it as a sort of "shortcut" bar

This is my desktop (tidied up). The image is a photo I took on one of my training walks down by the local river.
