  1. Thanks for sharing that great extension! Here's another one - Admin Actions Log. It lets log all actions performed in store backend by admin users, view log history on the grid and keep the log records for as long as you need. View login activity and block malicious login attempts. Know what have been done in your store admin panel and by whom. - Keep all log details on the grid for the specified time - Log the actions of specific admin users - Ban users after several unsuccessful login attempts - Unban users manually or automatically - Get full control over the actions of store admins

  3. I like Google Tag Manager. It really saves a lot of time!
  4. Image has 3 main things: - name - title - alt tag All of them should tell SE and people what your image is about.
  5. Everything should be used for its purpose, and link shorteners are not an exception.
  6. I wouldn't do that because of 2 main reasons: 1. there is a Google algorithm against exact domain match (aka EMD) as this technique looks spammy. 2. it's really hard to build good links to all these sites separately. There are different sites that have different products and rank well under one domain. Moreover, in your case it's all about food but for different aninals.
  7. You can also check your internal linking. Good internal linking usually helps crawling and indexing. BTW, site:yourdomain.com search is not very accurate, it also shows pages found in supplemental index, so you'd better try site:yourdomain.com/& instead.
  8. I see something is happening from the beginning of August. There are always a lot of minor updates Google doesn't talk about. Also, there recently was a SSL update but it's not about Panda or Penguin
  9. Personally I don't like Joomla at all. I prefer Wordpress for blogs and Magento for online shops
  10. You can learn how to use Magento very quickly. But if you begin digging deep, you'll find many things that are hard to understand. I don't think that even certified Magento developers know everything about this CMS.
  11. I would use parameters exclusion in Google Webmaster Tools. You can exclude pages with ?tab there.
  12. An old domain has higher probability of good rankings if to compare with a new domain. But if the linkback profile of this old domain is very spammy and the site was caught by Panda, a new domain with a good linkback profile will definately will. But all other things being equal, an aold domain ranks better.
  13. There are different types of online directories. Most of them are just link farms that won't add any value to ypur site if not even make your linkback profile look spammy. But at the same time, there are a few really good directories like DMOZ and Yahoo as well as business lstings like hotfrog and europages.
  14. I'm using flippbook-creator.com, works great for me!
