I dont think it would make you worse at CSS as people say because every time you make a change it shows you what class your working on, what property and the exact value, it's not different from hand coding but you have all these extra little tools to make the job easier and also you don't have to scroll through the page looking for the right class! I will however check out that Coda thing, like I said I'm not an expert and if you can show me something better I will use it!

Well I don't claim to be a CSS master by any means and so far this is the best tool I have found to speed up my workflow, I think the effectiveness of the drag and drop and colour dropper is being downplayed, why should I need to have photoshop open everytime I want to do something as simple as picking a colour. I'm not saying that this is THE best way to work, just the best thing I have found. Teydinho it's kinda lame that I can't give my honest positive opinion without be branded a sales person, I openly admitted to stealing the software what more do u want? I also like using photoshop too, does that mean I must be an Adobe affiliate? I guess probably not in that case because u most likely agree with my opinion...come one man keep an open mind

Couldn't agree less, have u even looked at it?! It doesn't create unreadable crap because u create and maintain the classes yourself. You can automate as little or as much as u like and in that sense I think it can actually be a good way to learn CSS... I dont care how much of a genius u think you are picking colours with a dropper is always gonna be much quicker than typing hexidecimal and drag and drop is ALWAYS gonna be quicker than "change a few pixels, save refresh, repeat..." I care about optimizing my work-flow not getting fictional browny points for being a "purist" But hey that's my take, whatever works for you man...

Neither is much better than the other, it's just a matter of taste I think, I prefer the background of the second one but I think the main content area is a little plain and needs a light, tasteful colour scheme..

It's not really to my taste, too generically e-commerce, but that's just me. It's certainly clean and clear and actually the header is pretty good I think, but more than any thin I think it's a novel idea for a web business! Good luck with it!

I generally find a way to both please search engines and make it sound readable to people too, <h1>building, structure and painting ideas</h1> It depends what terms you are targeting. You can always hide stuff of course but beware that Googles' algorithms are very smart and getting smarted, there is a chance you could get penalised for it

I wont make much difference to your Google ranking if any. On page factors are looking more at things like keywords in your meta-tags and headers and even that is worth about a tenth of off page factors like inbound links. However yeah it would be better to use an unordered list. In fact if you wanna be clever you could even use HTML5 which has proper semantic tags for navigation and other things. This is gradually gonna become more important as an onp age factor in the next few years, so it's good to be prepared

yeah u guys are right in that it needs design tools but when they come it will ruin Flash no doubt I think flash will remain but as a development tool that will primarily export in canvas/JS format

I think it looks a bit old fashioned, the colour scheme, the hit counter, plus its all a bit...."square". Just reeks of the 90s, try to make it look more modern, remove the hit counter, u can get stats if u need them, no need to publicise them, and for god sake change the favicon.ico from the default bluehost one that's just amature man! Hope I havent been too harsh, u should take this as constructive criticism

Well I'm gonna be straight and say that by far the best host I've ever used is Bluehost, in fact I liked them so much I became an affiliate! They are just rock solid reliable and offer 24/7 personalised support. hmm interesting question, I've been at it for about 2 years now, I wouldn't consider myself an expert but certainly competent enough to build a web application. I think the best tip I can give you would be: don't bother learning bare JavaScript, only use JavaScript with JQuery, it's infinitely better! Why do you want to learn web design? To start a business? Make money from marketing or just as a hobby?
