September 1, 201015 yr Hey guys, I've designed two different layouts for a website. Unfortunately I can't reveal who its about so everything has been blurred/had the names removed. I just wanted to know which of the designs you preferred: First: http://imgur.com/gbXNj.jpg Second: http://i.imgur.com/7C6NX.jpg My main problem is that I'm color-blind so I have no idea what they look like to the average person. I personally prefer the second but maybe for you guys the color is horrible Anyway, thanks in advance Edit: Also just in case you were wondering, the websites would be centered.
September 1, 201015 yr I hate floating heads/people. Just me. Could you at least tell us what the person does so we can get some insight into what the page is suppose to be about. That would make a huge difference in which one is better. Without that, I would have to say the first one is better. I would pick the second, but the typography is way off.

September 2, 201015 yr The first looks better, it has alot of potential, it just needs some refinement. I know that's not very helpful, i'll try and post more in detail tomorrow.

September 8, 201015 yr I think the first one is better. As it's screen-shot, the most thing bother me a bit is the footer which is too narrow.
September 8, 201015 yr er... Is the site not about the guy you have used as an avatar on this forum? The pics on the site although blurred look very similar.
September 9, 201015 yr Neither is much better than the other, it's just a matter of taste I think, I prefer the background of the second one but I think the main content area is a little plain and needs a light, tasteful colour scheme..
