April 3, 20215 yr Hi all, Most people have challenges with either the technical or design (or both) aspect of constructing a website. For me it’s about structuring information. I struggle a lot with this. In the sketching process. How do you build website (low fidelity) mockups with well structured content in its early stages? Deciding what content goes where. Is there tips for logic in this that covers like seo, psychology, engaging content, meeting website goals, attracting the right audiences etc. I’m looking for a “cheatsheet”/checklist to use for this process. What resources to do you use? Any tips are most welcome. Regards, Manas Edited April 3, 20215 yr by manas
April 3, 20215 yr Every site will be different. But start with the marketing plan. Once you know from where people will land on the site and their expectations you can create the content. Add calls to action and trust marks and that’s about all you need to so. The simpler the structure the better.

What I do first is write down known publishing channels or types of information I need, e.g. News, Products, Staff list etc. Then I dissect each channel and figure out what parts (i.e. custom fields) I need in each, so for a news story I may need headline, alternative headline, SEO values, summary, excerpt, primary image, date, story, related links, categories and so on. Once I know what parts are needed I can the start to mockup using the available parts.
