October 11, 201213 yr Jigoshop is pretty good. Woocommerce is forked from Jigoshop, but doesn't have quite as good docs. You may be able to figure some things out by referring back to Jigo and comparing the code. Edited October 11, 201213 yr by Renaissance-Design
October 11, 201213 yr Sorry if I sound a bit stupid, but are there no monthly fee's with Jigoshop? I see there are charges for plugins and support. But can you actually create a shopping cart with just by buying the the $40 theme? How valuable is the support?
October 25, 201213 yr Here's a good one from Tribulant http://tribulant.com...ing-cart-plugin Edited October 25, 201213 yr by ben_uk
October 26, 201213 yr Have a look at these: Woocommerce - woothemes (free and paid) Marketpress - wpmudev (free and paid) Cart66 - cart66 (free and paid) WP-Ecommerce - getshopped (free and paid) eShop Ecwid Edited October 26, 201213 yr by AnnobilsWebDesign
November 7, 201213 yr eShop is a good free one. But Shopp is what we've used for clients in the past with great success. It's $55 for a single site but well worth it when we compared it to the free options out there.
November 27, 201213 yr I only use WP E-commerce but offer this to clients as a basic e-commerce option as it is limited. I've used WooCommerce and find it extremely frustrating as it's so locked down, which is perfect for their target market, which is people than need to change font colours via an admin panel!
December 1, 201213 yr WooCommerce is a free, open source eCommerce plugin that is easy to install, use and extend. This very popular plugin is built for flexibility. It has great built in functionalities such as reporting, tax and shipping capabilities, products and inventory, supports numerous payment gateways, and so much more.
December 5, 201213 yr WooCommerce for me. I've used it since it forked from Jigoshop. It's by far the most user friendly for the end user (IMO) and with some web dev skills you can customise it into pretty much anything you need it to be.
December 12, 201213 yr Cart66 is realy powerful, feature rich and flexible WordPres cart to make any type of ecommerce website for selling any types of products, services etc. It costs only a few buck and there's a free version also that you can try before buy. December 17, 201213 yr Has anybody built websites using Shopp as well as websites using WooCommerce and could make a quick comparison between the 2 ?
December 17, 201213 yr Cart66 is realy powerful, feature rich and flexible WordPres cart to make any type of ecommerce website for selling any types of products, services etc. It costs only a few buck and there's a free version also that you can try before buy. A client of mine uses this and it literally takes 5 minutes to upload 1 product by the time you add it to cart66 and then go and select it in a post/page. Is there any quicker way to upload products like using csv?
December 19, 201213 yr I remember few year back there was a lot of security issues regarding ecommerse plugins for wordpress and such many didnt recommend building for Wordpress. Has the issues been solved?
January 11, 201313 yr Shopperpress is good if you are able to design a good theme... the ones it comes with are pretty ugly, also the price isn't too bad
