@mantis, I am a .Net developer so I develop my own solutions. I used WP a few years ago for a client that specifically asked for it, and I tried it myself on other occasions but with is being php I don't touch it now.

You can run Wordpress alongside a "static" html website no problem. If you install WP in the /blog directory, then your main site can stay in the root directory.

Just had a look at the site and it has a javascript error. ReferenceError: bmi_load is not defined [http://sdsimprintedconcrete.co.uk/sdsgallery.html:239] Not sure if that might be the reason? Maybe if 3G providers are changing the js to inline it is stopping at the error or something? Try fixing the error and see what happens...

I've never used it but just took a look at their website. Looks great with all of the available features.

"making sure access levels are set properly" Definitely don't give the users access to more things than they need! ie dont give everyone "admin" access because you can almost guarantee someone will screw something up "by mistake" whilst "having a play"....
