January 10, 201115 yr Hey Got asked by a friend of mine to design a log for there Photography website. i didnt have much time to do it so said i'd do it during my lunch break! Came up with this. What ya think?
January 10, 201115 yr Good stuff. What if the lens was the shape of a piece of toast, still keeping the lens effect?
January 10, 201115 yr Author to be honest im not sure what the toast part of the company name is all about. i think it was more aiing towards the "toast" as in a champagne toast rather than the piece of bread...i think.... not sure bout doin a tut for it as i usually just sit in front of photoshop until an idea develops. i do it backwards haha
January 10, 201115 yr I think it looks great considering the amount of time you've spent on it. I would probably use the middle left logo as I think It looks more balanced and the connection between the image and text is just right. The colours you used are ok... I think it's a shame you didn't have time to develop the toast idea as this could of been fun! I think some polaroids popping out of a toaster would be insane and very creative. Maybe you could try this sometime? I would love to see it... Hope this helped! x
January 10, 201115 yr Not really much to write a tut about... Make 3 circles inside eachother, throw a drop shadow and inner glow on the largest one, and finally add the "window reflection" using the pen and elipse tool.
January 10, 201115 yr Author exactly why i wouldnt do a tut. its not the most complexed logo in the world!
January 10, 201115 yr Pretty basic logo. Not bad for how much time you spent on it. If it was for a paying client I would have come up with something more original, (such as a piece of toast with a camera icon cut out of it or something).
January 10, 201115 yr Author if u read the rest of the thread that was suggested but as far as i know it was more the toast of champagne rather than the toast as in the bread. obviously i didnt get a chance to put a proper concept together due to the time restrictions, there defo is a concept there if i developed it but for a 43 min project i think the icon symbol works pretty well. plus i want to try to develop my logo skills, i feel they let me down at times....
January 12, 201115 yr Looks nice and clean, but Warren's suggestions for integrating a link between the name and the graphic would make the icon more memorable, and enable it to work (as a good logo icon should) on a standalone basis - without the lettering.
