  1. Those rounded corners could really use some AA loving.
  2. Small issue with your text on the content slider you use in the top: http://cl.ly/0z0n0o0R0W2f1E2N0p0Q Safari 5.0.3 on OSX
  3. With your level of expertise, before you go worrying about being able to pay for servers and all that, I think you should just start working on it, use some time on it, nurture it, and enjoy what you're doing. At this point you'd have to create something quite special to create a social network people would want to use over Facebook - I don't think lack of server space will be your biggest issue as a start up SNS.
  4. Fixed, mod can close / delete the thread.
  5. Quite nice site, pleasant colors. I do however think it's a bit over the top with the exclamation mark after "hi there" being angled - there is plenty dynamics in the colored blobs themselves. The picture under about seems quite photo-stock'ish? "News" seems to be using another font or size, which is confusing. Additionally the spacing between business and news, doesn't seem to be the same as between why us and business. In extension of the previous, under "news" the spacing around the thumbnail images seems to be non-existant. In general there seems to be a lack of content-formatting on your other pages. You simply have one wide content box, and you allow the text to expand all the way across - that looks bad.
  6. Okay so I'm building a CMS, and to properly support posts' ability to be in multiple categories I have set up my DB with 3 tables as follow: blog_posts / blog_cats / blog_posts_cats To match up the blogs posts one or more categories I link them in the blog_posts_cats. Now to recall this from the database I have created the following loop: $query = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM blog_posts ORDER BY id DESC") or die(mysql_error()); if(mysql_num_rows($query) == 0){ echo "No posts were found."; } else { while($q = mysql_fetch_assoc($query)) { $title = $q['Title']; $id = $q['ID']; echo "<li>$title in"; $query2 = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM blog_posts, blog_cats, blog_posts_cats WHERE blog_posts_cats.cat_id = blog_cats.id AND blog_posts.id = $id") or die(mysql_error()); while($q2 = mysql_fetch_assoc($query2)) { $catName = $q2['Title']; echo " $catName,"; } echo "</li>"; } } The issue with this is that instead of merely posting the categories that belong to the specific post, it accumulates them all to show on each post. The echo should look like this: post1 in cat1 cat2 post2 in cat3 cat4 But instead looks like this: post1 in cat1 cat2 cat3 cat4 post2 in cat1 cat2 cat3 cat4 How do I resolve this?

  10. I have the 27" LED Cinema Display, and I really love it! Apart from the cost I can't find anything negative to say about it.
  11. I don't quite understand this thread?

    Just wondering if anybody here has a dribbble invite they could forward to me?
  13. Could easily be done with javascript, I've seen a few scripts out there that should give you a good headstart on what you want to achieve, I don't remember the specific names or websites though. But try googling something like "amazing jquery scripts" and you might find something.
  14. See if the post is not placed in a specific id'ed div or something, then you can use that as the anchor.
  15. Why even use iframes? Juust put your content in the divs?
