  1. Good afternoon everyone, I have a new store that I am looking to create for a client and wanted to use Magento if possible rather than developing it as a standalone app. The store is going to be for a company who sells printing services (similar to Vista Print, Moo and all other mainstream printers) for their clients images and they would like to sell this service online where essentially products can be customised and previewed on screen then add to the basket as needed for purchase. The question(s) I have are; > Are there any extensions you know of that would allow a user to upload their own images to a product page, preview them on-screen and then once the product options have been chosen (frame, pic size etc.) add to cart? > If there are not any extensions like this already, roughly how much time do you think it would take to modify/extend Magento to achieve this result? I hope this all makes sense. Any help or suggestions will be much appreciated.

  4. I dropped WAMP in favour of XAMPP a while ago and haven't had any issues since. I'd recommend trying XAMPP, see if that gives you any issues.
  5. Modeva just received a thumbs up from me
  6. Thanks guys the help is much appreciated. Yep click the big submit site button then fill in your details. You will either be selected as a nominee for the awards that month, added to the gallery if you make the cut or just simply forgotten about if they don't like you. The selection criteria is based on: #1 High Level of Visual Creativity #2 Professionally Coded CSS #3 Fully Functioning #4 W3C Compliant (preferred but not mandatory) Just noticed the Modeva website listed as pending, I assme you that was you Alzer? I didn't recieve any notification that my site made it to the gallery. I was checking my Analytics and noticed traffic coming from the CSS Design Awards, went to check it out and hey! there was my site!
  7. Hi Guys, i'm needing a little favour from anyone who would be kind enough. My new site at andysmiff.com is on now on the CSS Design Awards and I really need some votes. Please go to http://www.cssdesignawards.com/css-gallery.php and scroll down to my shiny new site and if you like then give it a nice big thumbs up and i'll be very happy.
  8. That would be really easy to create using a decent CSS framework such as LESS, 960GS. Joomla! would be a great CMS solution to sue for the site with that layout too as the Gantry Template framework is designed to handle layouts like this very easily ( Easily if you know what your doing of course)
  9. Good use of Virtuemart, solid site
  10. Cheers Jay, thought it may be a Mac OS. I'll try and remedy this. Thanks Leon that's great to hear, really appreciate the praise. Oh and I just changed that...Funny story is that I actually have been calling it Magneto for the past year or so! Maybe it was my childhood obsession with the Xmen haha. That's fantastic mteam, I'll try these out tomorrow. Can't thank you enough.
  11. I work from home at the moment and setting cut off times can be difficult. I never seem to switch off at the moment but I do have a routine that I stick to. For example I start at my desk for 9am at the very latest every day, take lunch at a set time and play the evening by ear...this usually involves working till 12 haha. I looked at offices over a year ago but it always seemed to be too costly for an office space I would be happy using. I'm pretty hard to please because I have a great setup at home but after 2 years of freelancing an office is starting to look more and more essential. I think if you have a long term strategy for your business then office dedicated office space is probably best as I have to admit that having a dedicated office outside of home does help productivity and keeps you socialised. Freelancing can get a bit lonely and it's easy to be continualy spaced out haha.
  12. Hi Jay, What operating system are you using? I've noticed a similar thing happen in FF3.6 for another site I recently created but it seems fine for me on Windows 7 and Vista.
  13. The dark background for the footer works perfectly, i'll upload it to the live site in the next few hours. Thanks for the suggestion Andy, good call.
  14. Cheers Andy, that's great. The indented text is actually deliberate, it just looked to blocky otherwise and I thought it was a nice touch over the quotes. The footer style might be good suggestion. I'm going to try a really dark, speckled noise background with some glows through it to highlight the content. See what that looks like. Just checked out your site and think I might pinch a shot of the hovertitle plugin for the Joomla, Wordpress, Drupal and Magneto boxes if you don't mind.
  15. @Kingy da Killa Noted, going to try adding CSS3 PIE and Selectivizr to see if that helps. Update you soon if it works. I hate IE!
  16. @waynede Good shout on the titles. Just added them.
