IE7...thoughts?
I'm looking forward to using IE7 for the tabbed browsing. Firefox is incredible SLOW for me compared to IE6 that I'm using now. I also do not like Firefox's tabbed browsing. I can't get new URLs to open in a new tab no matter what I change in the Options.

Could you take a look?
I started out on freewebs myself, so don't feel bad because of it. You should realize, however, that you can get professional hosting for hardly any money though. I spend $4.95 per month for a mini-reseller account at hostingzoom.com and have 6 websites hosted there. A domain name is only $7 or $8 bucks. If you don't know how to design a site yourself, and you don't have money to hire a designer, find a free template somewhere and use it. Or... take a little time to learn about CSS and HTML and make the site yourself. It can be done. Everyone starts somewhere

Free Promotion
Is there some sort of blog comment ettiquette to follow? Of course, you aren't just going to post a comment saying "Cool... now visit my site!" or spam through all the blog posts. But, is it really okay to post a relevant comment and include your URL like that?

Google sandbox
Well, like Andrew says, you can override the sandbox effect with some high-powered links, etc. I've never had an issue getting my sites indexed even without high PR links. I tend to build up the SEO after launching my site (which may be dumb), and my sites usually raise gradually through the ranks.

Best way to plan a layout
And this is why I am not a website designer. I look at a multitude of templates and basic CSS layouts that are already completed and just pick one I like. Then I change the colors & graphics to be what I want them to be. I end up with servicable, but not too exciting websites.

Multiple Wordpresses
Well, the wordpress scripts would all be running on the same site / domain name. I'm not quite sure why it would get busy looking though. I mean, the navigation menu would have 6 or so things on it, and the home page would basically highlight what the sections were with a little content blurb or something.

No one?
I use 8 as well. Wow. This is the first site I've come to where I have not been laughed at for using Paintshop Pro. Its a little bit harder to find tutorials for it than Photoshop though.

Link Building
I have to agree with Ben here, although just asking for links could be useful, I suppose, with two sites that are both mid-range in the PR scale. I would think that this would be a way to get reciprocal links. The only way I can think of getitng people to link to you is either by buying links, or waiting for people to discover your amazing content

Multiple Wordpresses
I've fallen in love with Wordpress, and have decided that using it for 3 different parts of a big site that I have is a lot better idea that doing it how I have it right now. Is it okay to have 3 wordpress blogs on one site? Would it be better to just have the seperate pages as I have now? Are there any drawbacks? Here is the main layout of the site: 1) Home page, contact, FAQ, about, privacy -- all that boring stuff 2) Forum 3) Ecommerce store 4) Library 5) The Cave 6) The Zone Library, Cave & Zone are all pretty huge sections (or will be) and they are the ones I want to use Wordpress for.

USA Image Map?
For one of my websites, I want a map of the United States where every state is a link to that state's page. HOW on earth do I go about doing that? Or is there somewhere I can just copy the picture and code from?

No one?
I use Paintshop Pro 8 for all my graphics needs. It was a gift, and I do not have the money for photoshop. I've tried out GIMP, but found it more confusing (I'm sure I could get it with time) and found that it really didn't do much else that I couldn't do already? What is the argument against Paintshop Pro? What I am missing?

Customising Google Adsense
You can chose that option right when you are setting up your Adsense ads. When you go into "Adsens for Content" you can chose Link Unit instead of Ad Unit. I'm pretty sure that is what you are talking about.

Condescension does not educate How accurate, grammatically etc., are these articles? How can you be sure there is no plagerism going on?

CSS Graphic Hover Effects
I know this can be done - I just don't know how. Can anyone tell me the code you use to make a graphic hover effect. Like having a red button change to a yellow button when you roll over it?

Good Stock Photography Site
Very nice link Eskymo. Free stock photography does carry the possibility of being used by multiple people, but really, with the thousands and thousands of pics out there, will you really come across the same one that frequently?

Console or PC Gaming
I'm with deelip on this one - PC gaming out of habit. The last video game console I had was Super Nintendo

Any good "content generation" software?
This is sparking my curiosity too. How do you generate content with software? It writes something for you?

What browser do you use?
I use CrazyBrowser - which is a multi-tab browser that runs IE6 basically. I got it WAY back when, when there weren't any other multi-tabbed browsers that I could find. Stuck with it now

Open Source Shopping Cart Scripts
Well, from working with both zen-cart and oscommerce, I can say that it is definately easier to edit the look (template, theme, skin whatever they call it) on zen-cart. You can integrate many different payment processors too.

Does it really help in submitting sitemap to search engines?
Do you actually submit your sitemap to the search engines? Or just wait for the spiders to do their crawling? I've only ever submitting my index page to google and the like.

FireFox problem
I was amazed to discover that when I made my first CSS laid out site - I normally use IE, but checked my site in firefox and it was all messed up. I just kept tweaking until it looked fine in both.

Good Domain Sites
I use cheap-domainregistration.com. $7.95 or $8.95 per year and they have all the support you could want. Near instant DNS updates too - usually within an hour and I'm ready to go.

Gmail
I always used yahoo for my free email. Can you just go and sign up for a gmail account now or do you still need an invite. Seems like a weird way to get signups.
