Hi everyone, I have created two designs for a Job Portal website. The blue one is which i got from the designer, but i decided to modify it a bit so that it will look professional and clean. You better brainstorm a new name and get the domain name registered for a few bucks instead of spending 100's or sometimes 1000's

With www makes it look more like a website address

It really depends on the purpose of the website, .net is originally intended for organizations involved in networking technologies.

Make sure any of your themes or plugins makes references to any absolute url. As Nillervision has mentioned, image paths are stored in the database as absolute urls, so you have to do some search replace with your local mysql dump file, then replace it with one at your host.

I also started learning Rails a few months ago, there are many companies using Rails for web application development, I like rails because of its 'write less, do more' feature, it's kind of a RAD ( rapid application development ), you can put up a complete web app within a few weeks.

I wonder why dont you use your own machine (i.e localhost) for learning/testing purposes? If you want the websites to be able to accessed by others remotely then you would have to host it in a web space. There are plenty of free web hosting providers, and most of them comes with a free subdomain from their own, if not you can have a free domain like .tk or .co.cc

If you're really hoping to make it a success, then i would recommend you hire professionals with various skills, getting a production ready application cannot be done with a few skills, there is a host of things to consider like Nillervision has mentioned above

Most clients will not question you if you put a small link in the footer of their website, and i don't see any nofollow links put that way. You better put it as dofollow, most of the times the clients don't care about it. So you can make use of this link juice, as it's one of the best way to get some link juice to your site, specially when you use the anchor tag wisely. For example some put the link as "web design by zzzagency.com" where only the domain name is put inside the link and the text before it is just a span tag, but if you put something like "web solution by" inside the anchor tag, it gonna help you get a relevant link and higher ratings

If your site is dynamically generated then you can add a timestamp after each file url as a parameter. For example, "../css/style.css?id=6745734573" each time a request is made to the page a different number should be generated, so the browser see it as a new url and it fetches the url from the server instead of using the file from cache

Write some useful articles related to your niche, and put a subscribe form in the blog.

You better do a research on the prices your competitors offering around your area, specially choose most successful agencies and find out their prices and their service approach .

You can also hire an individual at affordable costs from freelancing sites like peopleperhour, upwork etc..

Web design & development is really a competitive business, so you should outstand from others as much as you can, at least from your local competitors. Most will look for your portfolio and for whom you've built it for. If the items look good and it goes closely with the clients business, then most likely you're going to receive a response from them. And said that, it will not happen automatically, you have to MARKET, I suggest you re-check your marketing copy, email subjects etc..and also track the email open rates if possible, so that you will be able to get am idea about where it actually breaks.

I suggest you to signup with a freelance marketplace like UpWork, where you will have plenty of opportunities to get web related works

That's a hard to make decision really. And it really depends on your career path or goals, unfortunately no one can conclude that a specific framework to go with. Each company or developer have their own set of preferences when choosing a framework. And obviously each framework has its own pros and cons. But based on the project and its functionalities it's possible to prefer a framework than over another. But generally speaking, for me , I think most will go with a popular one like AngularJS ( me too started to master this )

Well, i wonder why you don't use a slider plugin ? There are plenty of good slider plugins available for free, my favorite one is bxSlider. you can try it

But I doubt the extent to which it can be used to create more advanced layouts, not only this tool, but any automated conversion tool.
