The new open source text editor from Adobe, called Brackets has some cool features to save a lot of time in HTML conversion. They provide some good techniques with which a PSD is easily converted to an HTML file. I have found an interesting article about this and sharing with you here.

But I doubt the extent to which it can be used to create more advanced layouts, not only this tool, but any automated conversion tool.
