  1. Social media is a vast topic. I suggest you read SocialmediaExaminer.com. These guys know A LOT about the topic and always post articles with the latest tips and trends. Also, you can look for their webinars...
  2. Never used anything like it, but it should be much more comfortable having them one on top of the other, rather than one next to the other. Maybe I should consider purchasing one.
  3. Another vote for Mailchimp. At MochaHost we are using Mailchimp as well and it does a great job. I am sure you can try it for free up to some subscriber limit. Very easy to navigate, good deliverability.
  4. Does blog commenting even matter after Penguin? I mean, is it worth commenting...
  5. Looks like it is limited..."This version has a 5 minute-limit!!!!" its the first comment under the link.
  6. Well, it will be best to read this article. http://searchenginewatch.com/article/2279845/Googles-Penguin-2.0-Algorithm-The-Definitive-Guide This will give you more details than any comment.
  7. Hello Natamuka. Things change really fast in the SEO business. You can get a good book, but chances are, in few months, some of the things written will be obsolete or wrong. Google may change its algorithm and you have to adapt to that. My advice is, read online. Start with the free articles at moz.com. These guys are really serious about SEO.
  8. I try to answer ASAP. Sometimes though this could take up to 24h, I don't like writing emails from my phone.
  9. I don't want this to sounds as a self-promotion or anything, but if you are looking for a cheap price, you may want to check MochaHost out. I work for that company, prices start at $1.95 for shared plans, which is pretty cheap. However, this price is for a 3 year commitment.. If you don't like it, naturally, there is a moneyback guarantee.
  10. How come all people in a field can be undervalued? (if you mean underpaid). It is just how the market works. If there are too many of them, people pay less, if there are fewer, people will have to pay more.
  11. Moz.com Former SEOmoz.com, these guys are really serious about SEO and you can use their system for in dept analysis.
  12. I chew on a straw for hours... don't know what is up with that. It makes me feel comfortable when I am under stress.
  13. Guest blogging is really best, but it may take too long time. See if you can link exchange with some other websites. There is a lot of information on the topic online. Check moz.com for example.
  14. This is very true. Things change very often. The book will definitely be of use, but make sure to check online sources for changes. Google updates the algorithm every now and then, which may change a whole lot of things.
  15. Well I'm listening to Electronic Music predominantly. Here is something I like

    Welcome Roshan.
  17. That is useful information. I have visited Slideshare numerous times, but never considered actually uploading anything.
  18. These are not the fans you are looking for . Not your target group, makes absolutely no sense to invest in having a larger number absolutely useless people in your page. In 9 out of 10 cases, once you pay and they deliver the amount of fans, you will lose them in a matter of weeks. Money thrown out the window.
  19. I wound't say that the majority of the people care about company news. On MochaHost's Facebook page there are over 35K fans and I quite frankly they do not care a whole lot about the company if it is not a special or a discount. In general people care about interesting content or offers. Interesting content, can be curious facts, fun pictures, people would like and share them many times more than a post about your company 's products. Still you have to post about your company, just make sure your posts are visual. People engage much more on a picture than on a link or just text. Experiment, try different strategies - fun and company, company and educational, interesting facts and company and educational... see what works best for you. Depending on the nature of your business from 3 to 15 posts a week is "normal". You don't want to spam them too much and you don't want them to forget about you as well. Don't post more than twice in the same day. Try organizing contests. You need an external app for that. You can easy create one by using services such as Wildfire or Shortstack. The Shortstack option is free up to certain number of fans. This can bring a lot of fans to your page if you do it right. Hope I helped.
  20. Forum are read by Google, but from what I know have very little or no impact on your ranking.
  21. We did a survey on that on MochaHost's Facebook page. We included 5 answers: Price, Features, Great customer support, Fast load times and Uptime. There are 35 000 fans there. The results were as follows. 67% PRICE 23% Features 6% Great customer support 2% Fast load times 2% Uptime Which was quite a surprise to me. My personal opinion the first 3 should be absolutely the opposite. Uptime should be most important - if your website isn't online what good does it make if you have great customer support. Fast load times - You want to be easily accessible. Great customer support - That is a must-have.
  22. A huge portion of the websites rely on PPC to drive traffic to them. Doing a good job on the SEO you get free traffic from ranking high on first page of popular queries, thus getting visits without paying per click.
  23. Guest blog Find reputable blogs and write expert articles especially for them. Exchange links with other sites. Comment on blogs and forums (this one is easy, but does not work that well anymore) Create a infographic Submit material in article directories These are some of the frequently used techniques.
  24. SEO is free traffic, and all websites need free traffic . You will rank higher when on particular search queries, through optimizing your website content.
  25. I absolutely agree. Google + is a great platform used by many professionals. It is definitely less spammy than Facebook and we will see it grow in the next few years. Google always find a way to cross promote it through other services they offer.
